  3. Hi all Iv been battling to do anything on the c sharp website (where the sabie 2011 photos are available) since March this year, i thought it was just the volume of users at the time that was causing the super slowness and the constant time outs...but its still doing it!! Is anyone else having the same issues? iv tried on IE, Firefox and Google chrome... Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated
  4. LOL, i dont know about faster , but mountain biking definatley makes you friendlier
  5. Oh Flip!! Are you serious? is that if you travel with both passports? or just because of the fact that you own two? im in the same boat, but have never heard of needing a letter?
  6. Morning All! Im wanting to purchase a tubeless tyre repair kit, the "screw driver" with long plug type, and i just wanted to get some input on which ones you guys use/recommend? im on the east rand, and iv seen cycle lab stock a weldtite one, and tour de france cycles stocks a Maruni one. Is there any real difference here or should i just go with the cheapest option? Thanks guys!
  7. im looking to get the PC 9 woman for my wife. iv been looking for some resellers in SA, based in Gauteng. cant find anything except CWC, and they dont have stock at the moment.. anyone know of anywhere else il find one? thanks.
  8. Morning all! Most people are quick to hurl abuse at stores for bad service so i just wanted to post the awesome service i received from the new cycle lab in boksburg yesterday. It wasnt anything hectic, needed some new tyre sealant, was looking for stans specifically, tried 3 LBS` before going to the cycle lab (always thought cycle lab was supposed to be crazy expensive) not only were they the cheapest by far, but they also chucked the my new tyres onto my wheels and cleaned them up nicely (and used there own stans sealant in my tyres)- for no extra cost so my new bottle is still full Thanks Chris, you guys will definatley be my FIRST stop next time
  9. That is flippen awesome! how do people get their jack russels so well trained?, our 3 year old jack reckons hes being held in a maximum security prison, and the first sniff of freedom (off the leash) he gets, and hes gone like a flash!
  10. Yeah, first ascent are great, had a pair of the first ascent revolution for about a year now, really solid shorts, actually just bought another pair! in my opinion stay away from cape storm, tried on a pair just before i bought my latest pair of first ascents, and they are now where near as comfortable. for the same kind of money. suppose it all depends on how much you want to spend.
  11. il agree to that! really impressed. Frits pienaar cycles is also pretty sharp!
  12. interesting, how are they priced compared to the first ascent and cape storm bibs?
  13. The new prime circle single - Breathing, what a song!
  14. i had the exact same thing on my edge 305, was brand new out of the box, once i replaced the batteries in the strap it worked 100 % B)
  15. howdy! yep, it is indeed working again! thanks.
  16. Good morning and a happy friday to all! I have been trying to register for the crater cruise, but first you have to register as a user on the website: http://www.weardirect.co.za/user/register iv opened this link on various machines, and so have a couple of my mates, and in the CAPTCHA block where you are supposed to type the code all i see is a bunch of squiggly lines? has anyone else experienced the same or know whats going on? thanks all!
  17. AWESOME! just go a call from Lance, frame is shipping up from Cape Town today. Really impressed! the 2008 bike i bought was sold, so im being upgraded to the 2010 frame for the same price!
  18. Morning and happy friday to all! Just wanted to ask if anyone out there has ordered a bike from the obike website, and if so what was their delivery time like? I ordered last week thursday, was supposed to get it within 2 days ... apparantly, now im still waiting.. Not a complaint really, just trying to figure out whether this is the norm or not?
  19. thanks a stack for the advise! have ordered my Mongoose off the Obike sale (damn hot pricing indeed!) expecting delivery in 2 days :) :)
  20. the reason im now leaning towards the goose, is because DarrenG stated that the frame is good for heavier guys, i tip the scales at around 84kgs. so i dont want to get the GT if its going to result in a splene shattering ride (considering races like the crater cruise and karoo to coast)
  21. thanks for the comments guys! really helps, from what iv read the Mongoose sounds like the way to go, as im looking for comfort and lightness. so unless anyone else has any pearls of wisdom i reckon il be getting me a mongoose
  22. cool, cool. i also see that the mongoose uses SRAM, where the GT is full XT, also a difference on the shock, mongoose has a fox F100 RLC and the GT has a Fox 32 RL. is there any benefit from either of those, or is it also pretty much the same?
  23. cool, thanks for the response. is there any reason why you say GT, or is it just a better bike? thanks again.
  24. Good Afternoon all! I am looking for my next MTB upgrade, and i have come down to a final decision between the GT Zaskar Pro 2009 or the Mongoose Meteore Team 2008. pricing is pretty much identical, but im struggling to choose which is the better option.. what are your guys thoughts? thanks!
