  3. We have been struggling to get our own event calendar going, so it would be very useful to have a link from our website (www.tygerbergmtb.co.za) directly to this calendar...can that be arranged?
  4. Great pics, thanks Ronelle, I will post some more action and inaction shots in our website gallery at www.tygerbergmtb.co.za in the next 24 hours. Re: the trail;-some thought it was already a technical trail, especially compared to the last race in the series! for the racers, 8 laps of serious mental concentration (there are no stretches to cruise)and 1600m vertical climbing takes it's toll...if you saw the faces at the end you would know what I mean. Thank you to all who were involved, riders and club members, the day would not have been such a success without you!
  5. Hi Mikkelz(?), your maps of Hillcrest and surrounds are exactly what I have been looking for, for a while now. I would like hi-res copies so we can print them up and put them onto signs at the entrances of all our trails in the Durbanville Hills. However, they require a little more detail (landmarks, other trails etc), so I propose to invite you over to ride all the trails Tygerberg mtb Club own and operate to complete the picture (plus a new trail is coming on line in 2 weeks!). Please let me know if and when you are available. Adrian Winsor, trailbuilder, and Secretary Tygerberg MTB Club.
  6. Re: Majik Forest. Meeting on Thursday evening is cancelled. Thank you all for the support you showed in a short space of time!
  7. We are runing a skills workshop for anyone contemplating or already training for the Epic, Sani2C or any multi-stage race. It costs a lot of money to prepare yourself and your bike for these events, don't get caught stranded mid-stage and miss the cut-off because you don't know how to repair a broken derailleur, change your bike to single speed or fix a bent wheel! Log onto www.bikingsa.net for details of the MountainBike Finishing School, motto 'Finish-Not Finished'! Next workshop will be run by James Thornhill-fisher, Multi stage eventist who has ridden the 2010 Epic Trial ride! Sat. 28th November, 07.30, vennue;- Clara Anna Fontein Game Reserve, Durbanville.Start the day with a unique 'Game Ride' then into the trailside classroom for a hands-on practical workshop with a mechanic on hand to talk you through fixing the most common breakdowns in multi-stage races.
