I appreciate the comment and it makes complete sense to someone who knows jack about the sport especially comming from a motor sport background. I have a trainer in mind and that is Maryke, so the best will be to go in that direction and try do whats best for my son.

Okay guys i have a 14 yr old son who is into cycling big time. I had to pull the plug at the end of the term due to his rapport wich was not good at all he was riding 25 to 40 km a night offroad. I have now purchassed a indoor trainer for him and tonight he did 20km in 33 min at 55km/h what i need to know is how do we go about indoor training for racing cross country. It will be the 45km from here on in due to his age and getting ready for next yrs racing season. Any advice here would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Terry
  6. Okay sorted going with a cotic ti frame set all components sram xo with rotor rings Seat post bars etc all ritchey carbon, seat rotor , rims Easton ea 90 xc , rock shock reba rlt 120mm And some good light tubless tyres Total build weight +- 8.95kg Not to bad I would think .
  7. 2.7 lbs thats 1.2 kg not bad hows the ride. Covie have to agree 100 percent with that coming from a motorbike background a Yamaha is just bullet proof.
  8. Cycho love your pics you got style with mongoose seems there might be one left but they want 8k for the bike no frame set. Gummibear the cotic 26 er is a ti frame made in England i believe carry's a lifetime guarantee one advantage there. Covie , morewood is a mass produced frame sold under any name brand 3 yr warranty. Canondale?? not sure.
  9. Mongoose ali no longer available in 26 looking at the cotic 26 er with xo components rock shock reba rlt, wheelset easton ea 90 xc and carbon seatpost bars etc should come in under 10kg. With rotor rings and and crank bros pedals.
  10. Yeti arc 1500 grams trying to get something around 1100 to 1250 grams Want the end product to be around 9kg hopefully.
  11. Do you think they might still have them really need to sort this new bike out soon
  12. The mongoose meteore is a 29 er has to be 26 but the weight is not bad so far looks like trek could be the lightest ali frame one can get.
  13. Looking at a 17.5 or 18
  14. Looking to build a full race 26 inch need ali frame as kid is too hard on equipment for carbon so what is the lightest ali frame i could get.
