    How in heavens name is Riding an e-bike in a Cycling still allowed?

    If you ride an e-bike you already a doper. Fast or Slow if what you put out is more than what you put in there's no way if considering Cycling. Being slow myself it sucks that I see guys who ride these e-bikes put in so little effort for so much gains. It makes one despondent to enter any Ride or Race (same thing).

    I think we forget that yes there is a social place for e-bikes. Enjoy it on the weekend or wherever you want but allowing it in a Cycle Race needs to be re-looked by Event Organizers. If a Time Trial Bike cant be used in a Cycle Race how in heavens name did a Bicycle with a Motor make it on the allow list.

    Very good point, if e-bikes affect the outcome of any group of Cyclist irrelevant of the Cyclist start group, organizers need to consider letting them Start completely on their own. I do think they be better off starting in front on the Elites, instead of pushing the slower (who are actually faster than them) guys out of the way at the back because he has an automatic 300Watts. I mean really if you spend enough money you can get a 1000Watt e-bike.

    I guess why stop there, lets ask the guys with the 125cc (add a pedal in the mix) or less to join us and turn Cycle Tour into a mini "Isle of Man"

    Is it now completely acceptable that e-bikes are considered a Bicycle and allowed in Cycle Races? I think they should banned from Cycle Races and given an event just for them. I won't mention names but 2 riders switched bikes (one e-bike and the other on a road bike) in the 99er, yes you know who you are. So how is this a fair result even if it's just a fun ride. I mean why then complain when Cyclist draft a truck or bus, it's then just a fun ride.

    Incase you guys have forgotten the PPA does not reseed they only issue our Seeding Numbers. If anyone is to blame point the finger at Racetec. They provide PPA with Rider Seedings.

    Sympathy goes out to those people who were effected in the fires, I do however think they should have considered either doing the Burger Route or even the 99er Route. Yes a little logistics but I guess R400 X 35 000 = R 14 000 000 should have covered it.

    Its actually crazy how many accidents we have when racing in the Southern Suburbs. Hope all those riders are ok as there was lots of activity with all the Medics rushing around today
