  1. Geez pal, where from! Knowing the people in this sport up the ranks, it will be swept in under the carpet and not a single soul of the public will hear from it again. During the disciplinary proceedings they will all sit and pussyfoot and when push comes to shove they will all do the tap dance to get away from the whole ordeal and the quilty parties will continue as if nothing ever happened. This is the constant way of how things are dealt from the top ranking MP's right down into the schools. Agree with many of the comments what the penalties should be, but will it ever happen that the top structure in cycling show their guts to follow it through. Seeing is believing.
  2. Eureka, this thread is the 1 of the most positive threads I have read in a long time. Like TARMAC-GSTR said "Let us all start with the man in the mirror". Although I have wrestled wit a bus before, I have always had my safety & that of others on my mind, but there is always room for improvement. I will again start with me
  3. I agree there are so many things that can be done to secure the safety of cyclists on SA roads, but unfortunately our judicional system are to soft & slapgat to do anytning proper & harsh as it will be an infringement of the perpetraitors human & constitutional rights. In Holland if a motorist knock down a cyclist, the driver is in deep trouble. Apply similiar here. I say be damned with these rights, if you kill somebody you have to pay the price and penalty. Have taught many a youngster on & about cycling and always told that safety and adheranec to traffic rules are not negotiable. Things are so bad on the roads, I cycled 1 day to work and had 7 instances on road of almost being taken out. I will admit there are many cyclist that frustrate vehicle drivers to no end, but it doesn't make all cyclist baddies and vice versa. Tolerance & cooperation is in order of the day. I will only ride on the road when I know there is full road closure and that is only at the Argus.
  4. Agree. Many people can ride bikes, but there are only a few cyclists!!!!!
  5. From what planet did you surface? Maybe there are new names on the board, but there is surely a very old piece of lady wood that must dissappear from the scene. And then let us not speak about the exclusivity of team managers / coaches / mechanics that always represent this county when there are big events such as Jnr Worlds, Olympics, Paralympics, Tri-Nations and Commomwealth Games. WTF, how are other passionate people in this sport ever going to get exposure and experience if these seats are hogged all the time by certain individuals. Have heard during Jnr Worlds that 2 of them in specific doesn't have a good reputation down under but CSA are persevering with these 2. We still have to see whether the new board will live up to the standards to build up the reputation of CSA as previously, nothing much was done,
  6. Klap the SOB's hard once. Ban them for life. Should be applicable to all sports. Comments above are clear & concise, it cheating, stealing. Put them in front of a firing squad for using drugs.
