I see that we have a new route for the Jock. What was the reason for changing the old Jock route and how do you feel about the new route over Kaapse Hoop?

Really very expensive. R 1600 for camping option works out to almost R 530 with one meal to run 10k night stage. Camping spots reserved but you have to supply your own equipment. Not sure this is worth it. Similar type of race at Fountains at the end of 2011 attracted a very small field.

Maybe they should look at starting the race at 06h00. One hour extra would create space for at least 6 more waves if there is a 10 minute gap between waves. This will mean smaller waves and maybe a better spread on the cycle leg.

I am going down to East London for the 70.3 and have space to take two extra bikes if anybody still needs to get their bikes to the race. Leaving from the East Rand on Thursday morning 19/01. Contribution will be required. PM if interested.
