  1. You have no right to be on the pavement ,if you get knock over by a car coming out of the drive way you deserve it. By giving the middle finger to the driver explains how much decency you have . That is why there is so much aggression on the roads and pavements. Well done .
  2. Can you remember when you started riding MTB ,or we're you a pro from the start. We all have to start some where all these beginners are the ones that help keep the cost down because of the numbers that enter the race. They pay the same $ as you so have the right to ride . Go and ride with the pro's if you are so good and leve the plebs to ther race.
  3. Well done on the soccer . What a great birthday present and yes you do have 4 years to go. I will be waiting.
  4. Happy birthday. Bestway to celebrate it going for a ride .(If the wife is not at home) Still many years ahead RIDING welcome to the old mans club.
  5. Thanks Man of Steel looks like I will need to change forks as well . Will have to do the the costing thing . I was informed that I can get a new set of rims only for about R 6000,00. Will have to do the cost thing.
  6. Well I was told that if I have the right size frame I can just change the wheels .I ride a Specialised Epic at the moment . Is it a good idea to change the wheel size now and put them on the bike and see how they ride .As far a I know as I know there is no specifics bike built for these wheels.
  7. Is any body riding with 650 B wheel size ? If so can you give your take on them and can you compare it to 29 size. As I am not sure what size to use for the bike that I want to buy ? Thanks
  8. Congrats on you new bike. You will be upgrading when the bug bites. Enjoy
  9. What is the price of the two bikes in question ?
  10. Steve 61 I tend to agree with you not as far as a bus run over them . But I do think that they can move and give way to us if they are running into the on coming traffic . But they do tend to believe that they have right of way. It is a lot easier for them to move and safer than for us to. If I see a runner coming I look behind to see if I can move to the right but some times it is not always possible . We need to share the road with runners and try to respect each other ,but you will always have that one person that will not give way no matter what.
  11. Well we could both be wrong as the yellow line is actually a emergency lane . But does etiquette not come into this . If you are running or cycling into on coming traffic you have a better view of what is behind me ? And should we not show some sort of respect to each other ? If you are running in the yellow line into traffic you are also in the wrong even if you are not classified as a vehicle .
  12. Here is another sinario . If I am riding on the left side of the road in the yellow line ,and there is a nother cyclist or runner coming coming towards me, on the same side who gives way? As I see it they are in the wrong in the first place ,and as I am riding in the correct direction they should give way . Why I say this is that I can't see what is coming from behind and they can . Is this the correct way of doing it ?
