I saw your bike at TdT. Mine was the blue Tallboy. Basically same set up as above, except XT brakes and then SRAM Gripshits and components. I am still trying to get the dust out of the bike and more so out of myself. Was awesome though!
Very much worth it. I have done it a few years back and it has saved me a lot of money plus the pleasure of being able to work on my own bikes with confidence.
What 29 er wheelset would be on top of your list assuming you are going to use it for marathon/stage racing mostly with a bit of XC? Money is not a factor. (perfect world)
I have quite a bit of kit that although used (some actually new) I never use. Cycling shorts, shirts, shoes and there might even be a helmet or two. I am looking to donate these to somebody or an organization that can use it for development or something similar. Can anybody point me in the right direction?
I have had a look at all the options and I am leaning towards a Quarq. Question is this: Will this work on a 3x10? Who in JHB stock this? Any other options I should consider?
Dr Weinberg's partner Dr Hanhle did a disc replacement for me about 4 years ago. I have not had one day of back pain since. I am cycling as much as I like with no problems. I have done stage races etc afterwards. My recommendation would be to at least get an opinion whether this is not an option.
