Hey, not accusing anybody of bribing anybody. Just trying to illustrate how much of a long shot selection she was. Not close to anybody and don't feel insulted. From the outside you have to admit it's a big surprise and suddenly it looks as if there is an agenda within CSA? So it's more in the interests of corporate governance than anything else. If I was accusing I would have said so and so bribed so and so... Without names and facts? What kind of fool comes out in public with spurious claims? Oh, I forgot, this is The Hub so you assumed that's what I was doing. Relax, it's not.

If you read SASCOC's site they say that selection of athletes will be considered if qualification is attained through the UCI final ranking by nation, where selection will be on merit. Whatever that means I would intepret it as take the top ranked cyclists? Robyn de Groot at 323rd on the UCI ranking with 5.25 points is an amazing pick. Who do you have to bribe to get that selection? I don't think SA Cycling is at that point where someone can buy an Olympic spot, but it's the most suspect selection ever.

Think they're great. Very well made, the technical detail is second to none... Saddle sores? I doubt any clothing manufacturer guarantees their product against saddle sores...
