Buy a cheap second hand road bike for 2K.

At least 18 months of use, I now fear for my SIDI's, better adjust my pedals for easy release! Maybe there's a market for self unclipping pedals with automatic crash detection afterall.

Linctagon C and lots of rest, that orange pump locabiotal thing for when/if the throat starts to get sore. I already had my flu this winter,not worked for 2 days, off training for weeks I appreciate being healthy so much more now, don't know what you have until its gone

Wil head to sportmans warehouse and let you guys know which one I get. At the cycling stores I didn't see anything cheaper than R400. I'd be keen to pay R300 for one. Thanks for the advice

I think its time that I get my own floor pump, so that I don't have to be the annoying guy anymore asking my friends to bring theirs with. What is the cheapest floor pump money can buy and from where, that does a good job. Pretoria area Thanks

For me the biggest problem that I eased myself into the race, i was planning on speeding up during the last 20km and taking it very easy in the beginning as I am stugling with hay fever and wasn't sure how this would affect me. If I knew that I would only be doing 32km, i would really have hammered it. The way the organizers are dealing with the matter by suggesting that "riders through confusion took a wrong turn" in their email is not appropriate, there was a problem with the route, I sure as hell wasn't confused, just followed the route.. At the end of the race I was hopelessly confused, that would have been true. Things go wrong and responsibility needs to be taken when they do, I'm not happy with this applying your average speed to get a 50km result junk. I didn't do 50km so don't give me a 50km result. In fact please take away my 32km result! Responsibility needs to be taken, I would like a refund please, or a free 50km entry. Thanks for a 32km long joy ride............

Would recommend something from the sennheiser range, if price is not of concern. You also should probably consider if sound quality or usebility and comfort is most important to you before making a decision. I personally wouldn't spend a lot on a set that would be used for training /sports. I have had two sets fail on me in this manner.

Also happened twice to me on Saturday on the 30km Felt a sharp stinging sensation on the upper thighs and immediately stood up, I felt as if there was was thorns on my saddle. With one my hand I felt if there is anything on my saddle, finding nothing. This thread really clears things up and I'm glad that I'm not going crazy, imagining things and all that.

Doing the 30km as my third race. Went riding there a couple of times, as long as they don't include the most technical stuff big red barn has to offer, this should be easy, compared to anything else of the same distance. This is a awesome place to ride, can also vouch for the fast flowing single track, hopefully theres not a traffic jam in there.

How much difference in the price does it make when customs add their share when ordering from cyclingjersey.net? Also how long did your stuff take to arive? I feel like taking the plunge, really hope the quality is ok, I don't feel like dishing out 1.5K on a pair of bib shorts, where you can almost buy an entire wardrobe from this site at that price.
