Doing my 7'th this year! (I'm coming for you no. 10!) But will be my first on a single speed, feeling nervous! Anybody with experience of doing the race on a ss? And i hear what you guys are saying about going hard and fast from the beginning, just try and pace yourself. I've been in a very dark place going into kom se pad from going to fast in the beginning.

Jip that's him. Takes me just under 2 hours to get to the top from the gate it's a real big ride if you ride from worcester.

Don't know if this will help. But i'm a merida fan and bought a 1000 lite. Was cheaper than the xt so the drivetrain is slx not xt, but the suspension is better (according to the hub experts) and the bike is lighter than the xt. Also has mavic rims on. Don't know if the 1000 is still on the market or cheaper, but that is my 2c...

Sjoe wat 'n mtb race was dit nie! Die 70 het my weer bietjie iets geleer van fietsry. Daardie klim na die mas het gevoel asof dit nooit sal eindig nie! Het gekramp soos ek lanklaas het, maar was baie lekker!

Did the 60 and made it, but my legs had no energy. My question to you is, how can there be guys starting in the b and c groups of the 60 and then push up the botmaskop climb?

Did the 60km. Went out too hard at the beginning and it almost bit me hard at the end, but did a 2:47, so i'm happy with that. The elevation from my polar is the same as recorded above.

Hi I see there is a lot of races on the 7'th of May (tru-cape, nissan trailseeker, gravel and grape). I see no posts of the tru-cape mtb on the hub, so i'm just wondering with all the other events who is going to do the race? Kind regards
