  1. I've got an entry, unfortunately I can't ride. Entered 72Km, but can substitute to another distance. 0829438942
  2. Profiles 50Km.. http://www.strava.com/activities/178678333 http://www.brytonsport.com/mapTrackView/2?id=6063417
  3. Also found it tough, did not enjoy route, Heia Safari have some pointless tracks, not very well build/designed more about trying to cram in as much single track into a small area, than having quality single track. Besides $#@ parts of route, plus points to floating bridge, venue, organization, food, etc, etc, top marks for that. oh and close encounter with Zebra & herd of Wildebeest made it interesting.. I'll load profile shortly.
  4. Messaged CGC and EPR organisers haven't been in contact or registered date.. So don't see event happening, pity was a good event
  5. on a good year, weather been almost perfect only C, D and mybe E get sub 3, can check past results.
  6. Agree about Seeding been a stuff up!!!!! Argus has given me VA seeding for last 4-5 years, (granted a bit high & not licenced) but every year they tell me my seeding is 100% correct!!! 94.7 last year got VB seeding. Now in F???? So much for busting my balls from beginning Dec to have a fantastic 10th Argus…

  8. Water/muddy sections Start/finish crossing river 10/30/60 (will open up area to drain & have conveyor belts down as well) Serengeti Dam - small crossing (out for 10/30/60 - return for 10/60) River "Reed" neighbors @6.5Km- 30/60-out, @49km -60 back - (water very low) - ground hard packed @ 10Km (30/60-out) MUD bath last year - so far all dry @ 11km - under road - Dunblane (30/60-out) & 30km(30-back) - not bad, will be putting boards down. @ 44km-60 & 22.5Km-30 - down railway up to WP2 - ok, got pallets if needed (60km (mud just after WP2) down power lines, - last was all filled in, all fine) Then 60km back through "reeds" / over dam & river @ Start/Finish 30Km back under road & river @ Start/Finish. So all looking good, will give finial update after I finish marking course 2mrw. Hope u all enjoy..

  17. Hey all, Thanks for positive response, yes was a first time event so a bit limited on route & section that had more single tack towards end was a swap after Saturday's rain, hence having to come through North gate & residential area + distance a bit short. (just know how we panicked on Sat) Thanks to all those who braved the weather was *&^%$#@ cold, we were standing outside since 5:30. We have some pic's posted on : (more to come) http://www.flickr.com/photos/81214356@N06/ http://www.facebook.com/pages/Olympic-Footwear-MTB-Winter-Challenge-Hosted-by-Edenvale-Pedallers/217148791735932 Some good one’s of guys falling in (sorry if that is you) Plan is for Serengeti to build single track in estate & area so another MTB area for us. Then we are also moving Emperor's Palace (Edenvale Classic, Road & MTB) to Serengeti in Feb. Thanks again all for supporting & will improve on event. Trevor Edenvale Pedallers

  19. Yes I see I'm having the same problem will address, otherwise best use Face Book page, also easier to update for event. Have you tried Modderfontein MTB, great like Northern Farms, Grant cuts new tracks almost weekly, still new but gets better every week, so also a great place to ride on East Rand. As for moving Road race, yes all Feb road races out in same place (Germiston/Carnival & Ride for Site), but NO race East Rand / Kempton, plus sooo much quieter than Emperors going through Boskburg, so believe it will be well received by riders. MTB race was an embarrassment. See you at race..
  20. Hi All, Olympic Footwear MTB Winter Challenge is a NEW event hosted by Edenvale Pedallers Cycling club. Will be a relatively flat fast race from Serengeti through surrounding areas, finishing through Serengeti, with Start finish at the Curro Serengeti School. Great for whole family. Online entries on Cycle Lab. Follow us on Face Book – http://www.facebook.com/pages/Olympic-Footwear-MTB-Winter-Challenge-Hosted-by-Edenvale-Pedallers/217148791735932 Or contact us: trevor@edenvalecycling.co.za Edenvale Pedallers will also be moving our race “The Emperors Palace Classic” to Serengeti from 2013 following the current format with MTB on the Sat & Road & Criterium on Sun. Serengeti also wish to create a MTB venue on the East Rand similar to Northern Fames, etc, so watch this space for new developments. Trevor
