  1. Hi, i ride an Epic with a Rockshox Reba 100mm fork(Standard). Im thinking of upgrading my fork to a Fox 32 Stepcast. Is there a big difference in weight and is it a worthwhile upgrade? I only want to do it if i can shave some weight off the bike. THANX
  2. Hi guys I need help choosing a ds bike up to 40k mainly for xc and trail riding around Cape Town. My focus is more on Specialized and Trek. I don't know what else so maybe you guys can give me some advise on bikes but not older than 2 years new or used. I can probably go up to 45k max. Thanx in advance.
  3. Thanks guys I also like the Trek more.
  4. Hi everyone, can someone advise me which of the 2 bikes would be better. 2017 Trek Marlin 7 or 2020 Specialised Rockhopper. Im not much worried about the components as I have my own 1x11 drivetrain, Lyne dropper post and Shimano MT 200 brakes which I will probably fit once i have made my choice. In fact does the frame matter much or is it all about the components. Thank in Advance.

    45k mtb?

Hi, I'm currently riding a Trek HT and want to get myself a DS in a couple of months. The guys at the bike shops wont give you a bike to test offroad so how do I decide which brand to go for. I normally ride XC/Trail and I want something that's close to a HT and not a bulky heavy thing. Which bikes are good for around 45k. Thanx
  6. Ok thanx guys much appreciated. I'm just trying to get hold of two stroke who says he has a new chainring for sale.
  7. The first poc is my chainring and the second the one I can get. So it will work?
  8. So if I needed a 32T direct mount Raceface chainring which is all I was told and I could get a 32T Raceface Cinch Direct mount chainring it would work for me?
  9. Hi, I need to replace my raceface 32T direct mount chainring. Does it need to be Raceface DM or can other 32T chainrings work?
  10. Today I decided to try the Tokai trails. I paid the single entry fee at Tokai Forest and made my way up the jeep track to a point where I didnt actually know where I was going. After asking a very friendly cyclist by the name of Patrick for directions he gladly showed me the way up furhter. I came down one of the blue trails if I may call it that and wow that was something else. I really enjoyed it and I had a couple of close calls, but managed to stay on my bike. All I can say is that I'm getting my Activity card this week and can't wait to get back there.
  11. Sorry for taking so long to respond. THANK YOU guys for the info and Thermo for the invite. I think for now I'm going with the TMNP option. [emoji120]
  12. Hi, for me to get to know more mtb routes and events in the Cape Town region would it be better for me to join a mtb club? I liven Wynberg, Southern suburbs. None of my friends ride so I always go out alone and always just do the Constantia area trails. There are some maps etc available on bike hub but I won't just go out and do it on my own. Also the issue of safety etc. Thanx
