  1. phone FP on his mobile and ask him whether his letter is real
  2. how come FP and AM get to decided what's best for consumers? Surely retailers cannot also represent the interest of consumers! Or perhaps some people are not just mighty (at least when it comes to cycling), they are in fact ALMIGHTY! Perhaps a little bit like a "godfather". ala FP.
  3. Seems like AM was in a real hurry today to finish the Argus ... me thinks he couldnt waste any time because he had other meetings line up ..... with his co-price fixing conspirators and with his lawyers! well done AM
  4. Looks like one has to be cheat to be successful in cycling
  5. perhaps AM and FP are also manipulating the currency
  6. I met Colin and his friends at last years DC. We stayed at the same guest house. What a great group of people. They took almost the whole day to finish the race and that night my girlfriend and I listed to all 10 hours worth of stories. Wasnt planned that way, it just happened. We were made "honorary members" of their team. Such a tragedy that happened on Saturday. Chris ?Hou my pappa veilig in die hemel? SHANTEL MOSES 20/02/2009 07:48:30 AM - (SA) Kaapstad. ?My broer was passievol oor fietsry.
  7. ...never sleep with someone whose problems are worse than your own!
  8. I think the fact that this plonker was finally caught and dealt with (by his peers) was the best for everyone involved.... which includes everyone on the hub. Hopefully he'll learn that BS gets you only so far. As far as tSC is concerned his team mates as well as their management made it 100% clear where they stand. Perhaps it could have been handled differently, but this is a very difficult situation to handle and unless tCS has experience in this regard (doesn?t appear so), it was always going to be a thorny issue (not so much what to do but rather how to do it!). Hopefully other team managers will learn something from this, so those who think the threat should be deleted, I thin you're missing the point! <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I think it was a bit unnecessary to drag the Capies, which includes me, into the whole thing even if you think the boundaries were (perhaps) overstepped. I got involved because it was so obvious that guy was lying through his teeth and his actions showed a lack of respect towards other people interested in the sport of cycling. From what I've seen tCS has some seriously talented athletes (didn?t one one of your guys come 5th at the World Elite Duathlon Champs last year?) and a committed management team (even if there are personal differences). I therefore hope you'll also be riding in the races down in CPT (even if you don?t like us!)
  9. ...yes and instead of riding for fun, he's now going to ride in anger. Perhaps that moment of weakness has turned into something of a more permanent nature ....?
  10. .... it was the TCS rider who tried to BS everyone on the hub when he started this threat. He cheated in a race, got caught and was punished. Normally that would have been the end of that. However, he then tried to pull a fast one again ... and got out again ...come to think of it, it is kind of funny that one guy can be so dumb ...

I think there would be quite a few people who would love to be on your team. Be careful what you wish for Watch what you say!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have not said anything bad about TCS .... 2 can play your game seems like really nice guys ... this tight-knit group of fun riding friends at TSC!
  12. ... I know now why I've never won anything despite all the hours of training ... didn?t pay enough attention to the guys riding with colds and flu<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  13. I?m wondering who is more ignorant, the guy that got caught cheating or those who believe his story. It is precisely because of such ignorance that cycling is finding it so difficult to get rid of dopers. The guy posts, seemingly to explain confusion over a doping issue where he is involved, then knowledgeable people suggest he may not be 100% honest and they explain their reasoning and all the while his team manager(?) reserves judgement. To most it will probably not be an important issue because who even knew about the existence of this TCS fun rider and his blind ambition to be an elite cyclist? I can also see why the team manager has an incentive to remain neutral one this one: it will be a bit unfair to single out one guy among a close-knit group of friends if his mates are on the same juice! But unless there is a serious sanction from his peers he will do it again; in his post he?s going out of his way to warn other cyclists to be watchful so that the same unfortunate thing does not happen to them!! Hardly what one would call taking responsibility or having regret at what had happened?he?s even implying that CSA has great sympathy with this awful thing that came over his path!<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
