  1. I'd like to think fairly skilled and fit. Ride every weekend - distances vary between 55k and 80k, depending on how I feel. I mostly pedal on my own but need that extra shove to reach the next level. So I guess more training focused. I need to add I am more on the mature side but can hold my own.
  2. Hi I'd like to join a small group of mtb riders in the Beverley/Lonehill area.
  3. Thanks you made my evening. Almost fell off my chair laughing.
  4. AGREED - he operated on me last year March and replaced L3/4 & L4/5 (not a fusion). I had severe back pain and couldn't walk the last 4 days before my op. July 2011 I was back on my bike (gently) and so began the road to recovery. I have done many rides since then - including Sani2C this year. I feel great and best of all no back pain.
  5. Can you convert XTR wheels from Q/R to 15mm thru axle?
  6. Will do - frame is with Cycle Lab Fourways. Going past there later this afternoon.
  7. Thanks for this.
  8. Hi Anyone know who the importers for Merida are? Thanks
  9. Thanks Skylark. Learn't a lot from this experience.
  10. Thanks appreciated.
  11. Eish Rad006 - I've never felt so embarrased. I'll collect tomorrow and we can chat about doing a ride.
  12. Yup, I agree.
  13. Thanks, will be following up first thing tomorrow morning.
  14. Evening I feel massively obligated to do this as I've never felt so embarrased before. I advertised my Merida Team D Carbon frame for a really good price. This evening Eon from Potchestroom drove all the way to my place (Fourways) and after careful inspection, low and behold we found a hair line fracture. What an absolute disappointment. I felt like a first prize chop. Eon, I sincerely apologise for this, especially the fact that you drove so far. I'm lookig for petrol and matches at the moment.
  15. Thanks Grebel - appreciate you taking the time to reply.
  16. Thanks Scotty - I couldn't agree more. Thanks for the feedback.
  17. Thanks Mojoman - in my experience this seems to be the trend for newcomers to the sport. Very disappointing indeed as I'm passionate about cycling and always encouraging people to try it out.
  18. Great - thanks for the feedback. Amongst your cycling friends, would you say the trend is more to shop on line?
  19. Thank you for the feedback. Question - if purchasing via a website, what would your expectations be?
  20. Brilliant - I appreciate the open and honest feedback.
  21. Hi The Customer Experience: - I'd like to reach out to the cycling community and call on as many of you as possible to define your understaning of an unforgettable customer experience. Cycling is a fantastic sport (MTB & Road) and best of all you can include the whole family. The sport is growing at a phenominal rate and bikes, spares and clothing don't come cheap. I often read about poor customer service but at the same time there are cycle shops who deliver great service. When parting with your hard earned cash - what are your expectations? What in your mind does it mean to go the extra mile to win the business? Thanks
  22. Very very sad - condolences to the family.
  23. Guys & Girls Really great to see you enjoyed it so much. I work for the big yellow and was hosting one our clients. Do you guys remember Team Slick (the 2 guys who rode with slicks and normal shorts)? No surprise they couldn't make Sunday.
  24. Hi Rusty Riding Kingskloof this Sat @ 7.30 if you'd like to join. Let me know.
  25. Thanks - much appreciated.
