  1. Looking forward to this one, will be my first MTB event in three years so keen to get going again.
  2. Reminds me I have to do that as well. Awesome issue as always.
  3. I've put some bar ends on my riser bars for the Mast Challenge this weekend. It really looks sh!t but its only there to do a job, it will def be off by Saturday afternoon. I think I will struggle at Majik if they were still on with our next trip

    SLX RD

I just noticed the RD part after I washed the bike...don't worry it's only the 3rd time I've washed the bike since new Here it is in its natural environment: http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/rr13/divanrally1/Dec%2008%20MTB%20Naweek/DSC00067.jpg

    SLX RD

Thanks Dobby. Couldn't really remember what it looked like before the crash so wasn't sure. Cheers

    SLX RD

http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/rr13/divanrally1/Dec%2008%20MTB%20Naweek/DSCF4714.jpg Feel kinda daft asking as I'm sure it's fine, but I'd rather get an answer from a fellow hubber.

    SLX RD

Could anyone who uses a SLX RD please check for me whether this bit is supposed to be bent like this? It shifts okay so its probably fine but I just want to make sure. This is all part of the aftermath of a Majic Forest night ride...what a stupid idea http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/rr13/divanrally1/Dec%2008%20MTB%20Naweek/DSCF4711a.jpg http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/rr13/divanrally1/Dec%2008%20MTB%20Naweek/DSCF4712a.jpg

  9. You're just saying that to fool us are'nt?
  10. Geen probleem! Ek hoop ook net die betaling is maandeliks en nie maanliks nie
  11. Moenie pissie wees nie man Ons gaan dit doen en klaar.
  12. Crazy stuff!! I think I will have to eat some more carrots before attempting that.
  13. I will only join the DARK side once I get a proper light
  14. Lucky you!
  15. Jip just remember why youre doing it when it seems tough, thats how I get through. I'm off for the night, I think between the two of us we have ruined this thread with quite an EPIC highjack Anyways, good night!
  16. I was just kidding about the never-seeing-my-friend bit ne, I'm sure it'll be okay
  17. Damn, the ninja made the show Nice! That is a great course, just didn't know it would be that long No wonder one of my friends has disappeared once she started it So you going to Stellies then?
  18. Oh yes, the 6-7 years bit, is that for a doctor I don't know what else takes so long
  19. Was at Cape Town, now finishing it through UNISA unfortunately (studying full time is way better!). And after I finish this I will probably start studying Project Management so I also still have a long way to go. And yes Legend, I knew what I was getting myself into from the start Jip the Japanese seem quite passionate about motorsport in general, they even have a ninja performing kung fu in the woods there That said, this specific rally looked quite scary, seeing the speeds Seba and them were reaching on those narrow roads is breathtaking! I'm so jealous, one of my friends will be in Wales to see the Rally of Great Britain this year! Watching a WRC is still on my list of things to do
  20. You must be glad to be finishing school now hey? I'm busy with Mechanical Engineering ...the antidote to a good social life. Well sounds like you are in control of him then hehe The WRC broadcast was excellent as usual, did you catch it?
  21. Aggh its okay Jip snapping moving targets is difficult, practice makes perfect! Good luck with the exams then, mine only finishes after the event I don't think it would be to hard to convince him if he enjoys rallies as well, as he would be able to have a go in the navi seat as well Enjoy evening, I'm off to watch the WRC divan2008-11-03 13:00:16
  22. As a cyclist you are forgiven for spelling rally as Raleigh Easy mistake. The photography part of rallying can also become addictive, I sometimes even sell the photos just to pay for the fuel (6 Regionals and 2 Nationals in the Western Cape can become expensive fuel wise) I have just mailed a guy from the club with regards to non-members attending the Misverstand event. If he says its okay and you are free then atleast you will experience a rally stage and also meet some of the rally guys. The first time I went I ditched my studying to spend the day there, wasn't going to miss it for the world.
  23. No problem our club's website is http://www.cpmccrally.co.za, keep an eye on it to see when the regionals are (this year's season has passed already, ending with the tragic death of one of our top guys at the last event) cool! thanx!! think my dad will love to go to more of these races/events (what's the correct term btw??) So hey...maybe i'll see you around at some of the races next year Oh no...who was that? very sorry to hear!! Race/rally/event whichever you prefer Yes, maybe see you there! A rally is quite a nice atmosphere, when I leave the camera at home we usually have a braai and just relax while watching (until I joined the club atleast, now its work work work) His name was Paul Pfeiffer, it was more of a freak accident and he sadly drowned, one of the nicest guys in rallying. In about 3 weeks time our club has its year end function at Misverstand Dam. That is where I navigated for the first time. If you like I can find out for you whether none members may come (I'm sure they may) and then you can navigate on a short stage. It's usually just the weekend warriors that bring their cars (Paul was the only top guy that did) but it's still fun sitting next to these guys.
