  1. What can I say - my Lefty is black and white - just like the Sharks - dynamite!!
  2. Its cool during a race - either you frighten the opposition out the way or the person is so busy trying to figure out the look of the Lefty - next minute you have passed him.
  3. He He
  4. While things are quiet on the international cycling front and to help prevent post Tour blues here is my "Factory" Dale: Carbon Flash 29er. Note the Sharks sticker on the Lefty - there to install fear and anguish in the other riders when waiting in the shute for the start of a race !!
  5. Then I will loose all faith in cycling !!
  6. Leftys even support the Sharks, not sure if a SID can.
  7. Also owned both - Sid on a Giant, Lefty on a Dale (Carbon) Have sold the Sid but the Lefty I converted to a 29er and still going strong. Lefty`s are more maintenance intensive but the ride is worth it. As per the previous post, bearing resets - easy, lubing - easy. Omnico have a Lefty service centre so any bike shop not equiped or not having the skills to work on a Lefty can just send it there.

    RIP JOE

I hope he got to watch this years Tour. Some good advice he gave. I am sure you will miss him. RIP.
  9. Only 362 days to go - not long now, hang in there.
  10. I knew there was something missing, could not put my finger on it :)
  11. I will dress in green - can`t pull wheelies like Mr Sagan though !!
  12. Cool :)
  13. Well then Cannondale have failed me - excuse the pun !! I have had 6 Dales - 2 road and 4 MTB and according to Wyatt Earp I should have experienced some form of failure - but nothing, nix, nada, although I no longer own all of them I still know the owners and they are still going strong. So - I have been robbed, where are my cracks and fails ?
  14. Nice ride Cav. Thanks you reminded me I had not posted mine here yet either. My trusty Dale - Carbon Flash 29er. Note the Sharks sticker on the Lefty - there to install fear and anguish in the other riders when waiting in the shute for the start of a race !!
  15. I have just come back from a ride - passed a guy on a Spez, when I stopped to have a chat with him he excused himself as he was in a rush to get home before it cracks. Nice looking bike though.
  16. Yes and just to make sure he is bringing the whole Sky Team with him, rumour has it that he will put Richie on the front again to stop the likes of Shebeen.
  17. I agree, things were said in the heat and excitement of the moment. In the cold grey light of dawn things sometime appear different.
  18. Everyone`s fun team of the Tour. Between them and Sagan plenty of entertainment !!
  19. The actual servicing and spares is not a problem (done by the Ominco service centre - pleny parts avail as well) its the cost I am not sure of. I have had two Cannondales with the DLR80 and I don`t recall the costs being terrible, but that was a while ago.

    Frank Schleck

He He, I think they wish it was true - I think its more of the fact that they are having to step in to keep the teams going as the main sponser leaves.

    Frank Schleck

Interesting - more and more teams where the bicycle manufacturer are becoming the main sponser: BMC, Cannondale now Trek. Sign of the times about the shortage of sponsers out there !!
  22. Now that the Tour is over and the begining of the Rider tranfer period is not too far off has anyone any ideas who Cannondale might be targeting as their main GC contender?? Think this is going to be interesting - a lot of changes in some of the teams coming up.
  23. Point taken - I just like the fact that he has brought something different to cycling when is desperately needed it.
  24. Barking up the wrong three - no this is only his second green jersey, next years tour he will maybe get his third.
