  1. Hi hubbers, My wife and I are interested in doing a "Wild life" ride in South Africa. Not a race, a social ride of sorts over a few days with a group of people. Can anyone who has done something like this make recommendations or send me in the right direction to investigate? Thanks Andre andrejvvza@gmail.com 0824515266 Thanks
  2. Hi, does anyone know when the mtb version is? And where? I can't find it. We are planning a few rides this weekend and don't want to clash with them. Thanks
  3. Wow. They are quick. Responded to my email in a flash with a quote and all. Thanks for the referral. 👌
  4. Hi Hubbers, Any recommendations to repair an alu -crack along an existing weld on the chainstay? Thanks in advance for your input. Andre
  5. I suppose the bike is worth that to him. I am confused as to why his post justifies comments. What you did by letting him know is pure gentleman like. Job done, move on. He will either get a buyer or not. Who cares?
  6. Hi hubers, Anyone know where I can get a 26x2.4 or 2.5 tyre? Thanks
  7. Thanks for all the participation. Sorted!!! Jippeeeeeee. Tension screw together with actual power on the pedals elimanes the "perceived problem". You guys are great. 🍻 to a great weekend.
  8. Top 3 gears but different extremities.
  9. 🤣🤣🤣 thanks a mil for you humor. Yes, you are spot on with your assumptions of my meaning of shaffing in this instance. Will try your advice tomorrow. Cheers.
  10. I actually have one of them. I will give that a try. Thanks.
  11. Brand new chain, derailleur and cassette
  12. Hi Hubbers, I changed my 2x to 1x and went for a 34/11-51 setup. Eventhough the shifting is fine, I noticed the chain not bedding onto the cassette properly. There are 118 chain links on the chain. I am lost for an explanation. Anyone with one? 0824515266 Andre
  13. Absolutely stunning bike. Most people will still not make podium......so why????? But if you have the bucks and want the best bike on the planet then why not?
  14. HI there, does anyone know who services Tacx trainers. I need the tension cable replaced. It seems as if there is a "Tacx specific end cap" needed to get the job done properly. I am in Durbanville/Tygervalley area. Thanks in advance for your assistance. Andre 0824515266 andrejvvza@gmail.com
  15. Hi Theans, I'm in Durbanville and just got my bike redone in brand new colours and have been scouting for a frame protection kit. Would be good to chat and see what comes from it. Regards Andre 0824515266
  16. Hi there bike community, Does anyone know where I can get blue anodized water bottle cage bolts. Seems only offshore suppliers stock it. Thanks for your feedback. Andre 0824515266 andrejvvza@gmail.com
  17. Been using a similar one to this, (just camera specific) and it's been working perfectly for years. Tiny, yet big enough to fit everything but a tube in there. Even a spare set of brake pads. Bought mine from Outdoor Warehouse for under R200.
  18. Jip its a boost fork and was told the boost hub was at a good price and better than getting adaptors for my old hub. Also thought that all would be in order and only discovered the spacer today.
  19. Hi guys, Just checking if I'm overly cautious. I got a boost hub for a new fork. The bike shop rebuilt the wheel and fitted the rotor and used a 5mm spacer to compensate for the allignment. I am fitting new rotors now and discovered that the original bolts were used with the spacer. Does anyone know if this is ok? The bolts screw in only by a few threads and not with most of the thread as I am use to. In my mind it's not safe...... Am I wrong or should I get longer bolts? Thanks in advance for your feedback. Andre
  20. Awesome feedback, thanks guys. Have a great day. Weekend is on its way, keep the rubber side down.
  21. lol, thanks for asking. Cracked ribs, hematoma on my shin and arm, itb and elbow bruised and swollen. :-( Front wheel burped on the landing of a jump, I lost control and hit the rocks with left side of fork, breaking the caliper collar and flung me a few meters. Don't know the actual trajectory of the bike but we both came off pretty bruised and battered. My wife says I must start acting my age..............we don't heel up so nicely anymore apparently. I say get better gear!!!
  22. Thanks for your reply Nox1111, I checked all the online reviews hence me asking here with the hope of personal, honest feedback. I was thinking 140 travel. No budget and won't easily settle for second hand. I use this bike I'm for more technical, rough terrain.
