I did the repair yesterday with some pratleys and it is working nicely again. Went for a ride and held up perfectly. Thanks for the advice. I'm gonna just ride on this wheel until it decides to give up :-)

So here's my problem. About a year ago I bought a second hand bicycle with a set of Mavic SLR wheels. The previous owner did a ghetto repair on the rear wheel which I think was cracked. I've been riding with a tubeless setup on this wheel with absolutely zero issues. Today I decided to replace the tyres with a new set of crossmarks and I am now unable to inflate the tyre more than 1 bar and the air and stans starts leaking out of the repair job. I know the logical thing would be to replace the wheel but unfortunately its not financially viable. It looks pretty siff but I don't really care, I just want to ride my bike. Now my question is, what would be a good product to use to repatch the rim? Cheers

I had the same problem with my xtr brakes. Changed to resin pads and haven't had the problem again. The front ones only squeal a little when they are cold but as soon as they get a bit of heat into them they are 100%

If it happened near the bus lane on marine drive there are multiple cctv cameras along the route. Not quite sure how easy it would be to get hold of the footage though.

I bought a carbon scale for 7k with top of the range components. Think I got really lucky though as the guy was looking for a quick sale. It was his wedding that weekend...

I don't know if anyone has said this already but the worst is when people make the comments, "nice bike, if I had the money now I'd buy it" "pity this is not 29er" "good luck with the sale" No one cares whether you have the money or not and that you own a 29er. If it's the part/bike you want make a comment, don't waste other people's time....

Thanks a lot. It's the one with grey lugs and then a combo of yellow, grey and baby blue stickers. I will post a pic when I'm on the pc again. Any idea if it is worth anything? Frame wise. It's in pretty good condition.
