I bought a pair of S-works road shoes recently and after my first hard ride I felt ?discomfort in my left knee (front) and pain in my left hip. the knee pain probably was as a result of the seat on my borrowed bike being too low but am at a loss as to explaining the hip pain. The pain though disappeared after my next ride so I am guessing it was just a matter of me adjusting to the new shoe- pedal combo. I love the arch support in the shoe which helps with the alignment of the leg. The sole is also super stiff which comes in handy as I do not want to waste the little power that I do have

what is so great about them? What did you pay for them if I may ask. I have a great offer available to me but want to know how great it really is compared to the going rate.

anybody know what seapost (Bontrager)diameter comes on the Madone 4.5?I want to upgrade but am not sure what diameter I have at the moment.

Corrrrect!! I ride a trek but dont own shares in the cmpany hence I have no qualms about wearing Cervelo gear if I think it looks good. As much as I love the bike I wouldnt be seen dead in the Astana gear

by kit I mean the bibshorts and racing shirt.

...on a related matter, I understand that you are "The Man" when it comes to wheel technology and such. penny for your thoughts. I crashed and damaged my Bontrager aluminium wheels leaving them buckled and scratched. My local shop straightened and retensioned the spokes but they reckon the wheels will never be 100% straight and as a result not work as well as they used to. Is this correct or are they blowing smoke where I dont wnat it in order to sell me something?

He's never complained about the seat...then again he's only had the bike for about a month now. I had the same seat and felt sore after a long ride, so I changed it fortunately.

fortunately I didnt have to cup his balls when he was rushed to the Dr He's fine now but yeah he was in quite a bit of pain earlier. It was assumed that the saddle pressure/riding style caused the problem but definitively. He is at least laughing (not too deeply) about it now. could a too soft saddle maybe be the culprit?

towards the end of a 3hr ridde this morning my cousin (not BarryH) felt a stinging pain in his groin area.Further investiation and excrutiating pain revelaed the troubled area to be his testicleAfter investigation by his Dr and a big needle it was found that the bloodvessel had twisted and bent stopping the blood flow. Dr sorted it out luckily without op. Anybody have something simlar happen? what was the cause?

I agree spinnekop, the Fulcrum zeros are the business but the Palnet X's are sooooo purrrdy:) I s'pose I could cut back on the Amstels & lose 1/2 kilo tp make up for their weight penalty

I am thinking of fitting my Shimano shod bike with a pair of Campag Shamal ultra wheels. Is this acceptable etiquette I will I seem like a wannabe muppet to cheap to afford a campag group
