  7. I'm sure that I'm not the first guy struggling with this one, but can't find useful help on the net... I recently purchased a Polar CS300. In the installation instructions, they say that the gap between the sensor and the magnet should not be more than 4mm, with the sensor pointing forward with the Polar logo on the outside. Problem is that for my mtb fork, that gap is approx 3cm after installation. Now the watch doesn't pick up any data from the sensor... Anyway around this maybe?
  8. still looks good - does it need a revamp?
  9. hell and back is also a 2 day race for individuals...
  10. I read in the Ride the other day that if a motorist would hit a cyclist in London, that the driver would never be allowed to drive again. Maybe because it's a law-abiding country and not the "wilde weste" like Africa, where anything goes without proper punishment Yes that road from Calitzdorp to Oudtshoorn is directly East. I often drive on it, but it in the other direction for business in Ladismith. I dont want to come up for the driver here, but if you sit behind a big lorry it may throw it's shadow over you before overtaking it. It could've been that as he started passing the lorry the sun came out behind the lorry. On the photos it also looks like quite an old Isuzu bakkie so I cant imagine that it raced past the lorry. Thus instead of ducking in behind the lorry it continued and took its chances. I still think the driver was irresponsible and should be brought to justice

  15. while going that same hill at 73.2km/h (my max for the race) I wondered how I would look if I had a crash... thanks, now I know... Good luck with the healing process!
  16. If you're not from George: Contact the people from Hillbillies club. They do regular group rides in the area... Otherwise contact some of the bike shops: Ride Life, Cycle Sports etc.
  17. guys at LBS says it may have been caused getting a hard knock while lock was still swithched on and possibly broke through... may be true as I regularly forget the lock on after climbing. will have to send the entire fork to CPT, don't think it's worth the effort
  18. Shot, will have it checked out tomorrow, their website mentions a two year warranty...
  19. Went for a ride yesterday and realised that the lockout isn't working on my Rock Shox Dart 2 shock... Is this a common problem + can you fix it? My bike will celebrate it's one year birthday this coming weekend, so I'm just wondering if it will still be under warranty...
