I reckon the Barca Election today probably saw the biggest turn out of voters in a long time.. Two reason for that I think.. One held earlier than usual (March vs June/July where players usual aren't available to vote as they are busy with international duties or on holiday) and people are seriously fed up with what happened under Bartemou who earlier in this week was arrested along with the CEO and I believe the Barca lawyer in connection with Barcagate. So a big day in La Liga.. Politically as well as the Madrid Derby which ended in a draw.. It's a tight title race now.. Atletico looked to be in cruise control at a stage.. Not so much now... In sport anything can happen hey.

It's difficult with pure sprinters to find their place in the peloton once they lose that speed..can't see him competing at the bigger races against a stronger field.. There are so many really fast guys atm.. Hell I can't even see him making the DQS squad for those bigger races... They have so much depth.. But he may get results at the smaller races like today. One thing is for sure I don't see him making any DQS GT squads.

He may have come second but him and the rest of the field were left for dead.. Such a stong sprint from Merlier who won by a big margin... There was time to sit up look behind and put his arms in the air before he crossed the line.. Good race though, I enjoyed it, is part of the Belgium Cup.

I couldn't find a thread dedicated to it.. So if there is one please merge or delete Porte has hit the deck and it doesn't look like he will be able to continue. Okay he is back on the bike but looks very sore.

Don't think the race is old enough for them to classify it a monument .. . But doesn't really matter.. It very seldom disapoints and doesn't need to be labelled a Monument in order for everyone to tune in...what's nice about it that any type or rider can win it.. And what's great atm is there are so many all rounders in the peloton atm..

Bernal successfully reconned the Giro stage.... He'll be looking forward to it. I was really surpsied and impressed by him.
