  1. https://www.planetf1.com/news/finally-hamilton-and-mercedes-announce-new-deal/
  2. This livery definitely looks lekker. But when I look at this picture, all I can think is, 2022 COME ALREADY PLEASE! Need the new regulation changes, and hopefully the move to ground effect aero, amongst other changes, will work out as hoped.
  3. Max clear #1 on a longer term deal, with #2 Perez coming in on a one year deal and if he performs well, will probably get renewed...RBR pretty much hoping Perez will be their "Bottas". I read somewhere that Helmut was even thinking about putting Tsunoda alongside Max, but went against that because a WCC battle is on the cards. Tsunoda no doubt has talent based on junior formulae, but I hope they don't put too much pressure on him to be the next Max.
  4. One year deal, as reported. No doubt Albon has some decent race craft, but like you say, his car shouldn't be battling away in the midfield. I would actually have preferred to see him in an Alpha Tauri next season, so that we can keep seeing him battle away like that in the midfield. It keeps things exciting.
  5. Eina, that is a rather k@k one. But then again Perez got that same treatment with Vettel knowing beforehand and him finding out in the days before the announcement, apparently, lol.
  6. https://www.planetf1.com/news/red-bull-confirm-sergio-perez/ Aaaaannd, it's official!
  7. So Yuki Tsunoda has been confirmed for the 2nd AT seat. Only 2 seats left, with 1 of them all but confirmed to be Hamilton's. RBR to announce their 2nd driver on Friday...this season's source of excitement has come from the midfield battle and driver changes! Lol
  8. "They race me sooo haaarrd...!" As if the AT cars are supposed to yield and let him pass or something! I still can't believe he said that when Gasly outmaneuvered him and then in the same race he takes Kvyat out! That race (Nurburgring I think) really made Albon look very very bad.
  9. Difficult one to predict perhaps, with the RP car obviously being different to that of RB. This year's RB has been "twitchy" as both drivers put it, so it wasn't an easy car to drive. Whether Perez can tame it, time will tell, assuming he gets the contract in the 1st place. Marko/Horner want their 2nd driver to be within at least 0.2 - 0.3 of Max, on which Albon failed in many cases. In fact, Albon even failed to make Q3 on some occasions. The bar for Perez to beat has not been set very high by Albon, nor Gasly before him. I predict he'll be better than Albon, but whether he consistently meets the goal set by Marko/Horner, to hard to predict, especially since many F1 insiders/pundits claim that the car is developed for Max.
  10. This Alonso kid definitely has a bright future in this sport!
  11. Not sure when the deadline is, but Red Bull are saying they will announce before Christmas, with Hamilton also mentioning a before Christmas target. I think we've seen the last of Kvyat though, with strong indications that Yuki Tsunoda will be taking the 2nd AT seat alongside Gasly. Yuki is pretty quick, evident in the final Sakhir F2 weekend, bringing home lots of points in qualy, feature and sprint races, but I actually wouldn't mind seeing an Albon/Gasly showdown over a season racing each other in AT next season...
  12. Not sure how true it is, but I heard a lot of it goes towards his salary. Major injustice seeing Lance Stroll retain his seat knowing that his daddy loving him is the only reason he wasn't booted. Perez definitely didn't want the backward step of going into a Haas, plus it looks like Haas also wanted a Stroll like investor with Mazepin being signed. I just hope Red Bull are bold enough to employ outside their junior/internal program and sign Perez.
  13. The midfield will in all likelihood again be the main (or only) source of excitement next year unfortunately, with cars mostly staying the same for next year. The 2021 tyre and aero/floor regulation changes probably won't be enough to shake up the order up front. Hopefully Red Bull, Aston Martin and McLaren (with Merc PU) can start putting Merc under more pressure with improved packages. Also, Red Bull need a better driver alongside Max, as they seldom have options with their strategy, with Max always having to go solo against Hamilton and Bottas.
  14. Perez has shown that the car has potential. Not unexpected seeing that it very closely resembles the Merc W10. Vettel in the AM01/W11 next year will be a regular podium contender, haha. Jokes aside, I'm also hoping Vettel finds his old magic and that Aston Martin provide the car for him to show he hasn't lost what made him a 4 time champ. This last season has been tough on Vettel, and Ferrari haven't treated him well in his last season. He'd probably be involved in a battle for "best of the rest" 4th place in 2021 though, along with Danny Ric and Norris. Who knows, maybe Perez in a Red Bull if he gets the contract, along with Alonso in an improved Renault will also make that 4th place a good fight.
  15. What a boring race...doesn't matter which car drives off unchallenged to victory, it is still k@k boring to watch. Apparently MGU-K issues had Merc turn their engines down for reliability fears, but still great for Max to get a win. He did what he needed to do, and perfectly so. Without his reliability issues he'd have easily beat Bottas to 2nd in the WDC. 1st was always out of reach with Lewis in that W11, as Lewis was just too consistent and the W11 very reliable. Hopefully Max gets partnered by Perez next year so that RBR will have a bit more strategic cards to play up front against Merc. Danny Ric to MCL in a Merc engine is something to look forward to, to spice up the midfield battle even more. Hopefully next season is more exciting up front, but I suspect all the excitement will again be in the midfield only.
  16. Even Perez said it is his press conference, that these days wins and championships are too dependent on the car you drive. Similar to what Sainz said in a presser last week. At different periods, Ferrari, Red Bull and Mercedes have had the best car in the field during the last 2 decades and therefore the WCC and WDC. Renault obviously had their stint as well with Alonso as their #1. It shouldn't come as much surprise that Russell, being pretty talented, was able to do a decent job in that Merc. It must suck for him,to have to go back into his usual Saturday scrap to make it into Q2 though! ????
  17. This thread covers a lot of the DIY ideas, with the author supposedly a rocker plate pioneer: https://forum.trainerroad.com/t/rocker-plates-for-trainers/1981
  18. Seems there has been attempts at this idea: https://www.smartbiketrainers.com/hands-on-elite-nero-smart-rollers-review-9380 http://www.insideride.com/buy/emotion-h
  19. Way too expensive for a "rocker plate". Sure it has fore/aft motion, but it costs more than most high end smart trainers! Come to think of it, only the NEO2/2T and Drivo are more expensive than this advanced "rocker plate", lol. There's another company, Inside Ride, that has an interesting design for similar indoor trainer motion, at a lower price, but is restricted to Wahoo Kickr trainers at this stage. It is still a pretty penny, but in my opinion a better option than the MP1. It is unfortunately not available for order outside North America though. http://www.insideride.com/buy/kickr-e-flex https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPgTPi7mts8 https://forum.trainerroad.com/t/inside-ride-kickr-e-flex-trainer-motion-system/20469
  20. Happy Kickr4 owner here. No issues and has been working flawlessly. As mentioned above, you only really need to calibrate once a week and can be done during a workout or Zwift ride, but just pausing and either doing within the software you use (Zwift, TR, etc.) or switch to Wahoo Utility app and do spindown there (recommended). Don't think you'll go wrong either Kickr4 or Neo2, both top quality trainers. I can't comment on Tacx local support but Wahoo's local support is top notch.
  21. If I am still alive after my debut Attakwas 2020 adventure, I will definitely want to try this one out!
  22. Another vote for Irma. I also had some knee and lower back pains that disappeared after 2 sessions with Irma. She is really passionate about what she does and will see to it that your issues are resolved for good, like she will follow up and send you articles and other content to help strengthen areas if she finds you need it, etc.
