Also make sure that your bike is insured, in racing also. Most insurances dont insure your bike in races. We are with MiWay and my bike is insured for R38k and we pay R162p/m.
@Dale... the bibs are fairly new just put that comment in so that guys dont think my bibs are done and i am blaming the saddle.
@Tumbleweed No. If i pres my thumb lightly up and down on the left hand side of the saddle bridge it makes the squeak. Less if i do it on the right.
Oi my 5hr base rides have been squeaky and i did 36one on the saddle without a squeak.
O the saddle could be 3 yrs old, not more.
Does anyone know the lifespan of the Fizik Vesta saddle?
Have done about 450hrs over 2 years. It started to squeak alot recently, my comfort is suddenly also not what it was. (Riding with new bibs)
Looks like I am sweeping the 40km ... hope I dont see any of you guys
The partnership was terminated in August 2015, probably why you have not heard. I will be joining club 100 and i only have to pay them to join.
I hadn't heard this - did a bunch of rides with club 100 a few months back and 80% of the guys had migrated to vitality kit etc...
As for value - for me definitely - definitely paid for the membership fees by now - and more to come - will get 50% bak on this weekend duathlon, 50% on 94.7 entry etc. Plus have enjoyed their hospitality at a number of races I've done this year.
I am accidently in the market for a club, emailed Club 100 and apparently the deal between Club 100 and Team Vitality was teminated. They are now two seperate clubs.
Just thought I would mention it.
Depending on which side of that area you are on, I have heard many many good things about West Rand Cycles... I am on the Eagle Canyon side, so too much of a drive for me, so guess its Concept at Fourways for me...
Guys try Cyclist workshop. I love their service and they will go out of their way to help you.

Cyclist workshop in North Riding also picks up and drops off bikes. Works like a dream and love their service
I think they do it for free if you have a service done to the bike and your location is within I think 20km of shop
Any of you got unfit wives that want to join ladies on Saturday or Sunday? . We start in Sundowner and then go through Northgate, Weltevreden park, Randpark Ridge, Bromhof and back home. Start at 5:30, end 7:30. 30 kms. Not race snake pace, but still a lot of hills to climb every now and then.
Are the group riding this saturday or sunday?
Sorry for getting back to you now only another mtb girl!! yay. Will pm you now for further details
OOOps didn't read the whole post. thought it was for morning rides sorry!!
Any of you guys riding during the week in the mornings? I am looking for about 4 am to 6 am? Hmmm I am not a race snake but training for trans baviaans. O and riding mtb on road during the week so dont know if I can keep up with roadies.
was my first half marathon, was fun but didn't expect so many people!. Powasol was my biggest complaint. Booked online, waited 3 hours for my bike only to get it back still full of mud. Had to put it in the car like that and wash it properly when I got home...Wont be doing that again
I heard online bookings got preference... Eish
Hey guys!!
I am starting training again. I will be starting from corner ascot ave and malibongwe 04:30 Tuesdays to Thursdays. aim is to be back at 06:00am. No clue yet of the route.
One thing, I ride mountain bike. Looking at avg speed of about 15km/hr or so
So guys!!
fist we shortened my stem to a 60mm .... but then my knee was 20mm behind my pedal center at bottom. we could not move the saddle forward so that was that .... frame to big.
Riding a Anthem 29er small now and wow....much more comfortable on the bike and also not stretched out. kept the 60mm stem. Bike handles and flows much better.
Small is my size...
me too
+1 already entered.
My entry worked perfectly for Dullstroom and it was easy to add another person! thanks
Will keep you guys up to speed with what is happening....going thursday again to ergo fit and lets see....
Dont want to replace frame hmmf
Standover heigth on the Giant medium that I have is 75.4cm and the small has 72.4cm...
Hmmmm very nice and expensive mistake that I made here grrrr.
Going for a re assessment of my ergo fit and lets see... but think it is going to come down to replacing the frame
Currently have a 90mm stem on and it is negative.
We wanted my handlebars lower than my seat but can just get it level with the negative stem.
This will now be my thing do I try a shorter stem and see or will I gain actually alot from buying a new frame....
the frame is 6 months old aai.
yip, I am 163cm....
Hi Guys!!
Just want your opinion on this.
I should be riding with a top tube of 570mm and my top tube length is 594mm. Is it worth it to replace my frame for a 24mm difference?
Ride a Giant XTC Advanced SL 29er Medium Hardtail
Thanks
