  1. Cool where do you reside? Modderfontein = Joberg? Price?
  2. Elaborate? Kid likes car and speed. Not looking to go on trial somewhere
  3. 1 year 1 month
  4. I'm looking for a comfy seat to take my son on a road cycle say the sea point promenade. Except the fact that I think it is risky on the road, hot and might be uncomfortable I want to take him along some rides. Which carrier is best, at a good price. Saw the Thule ridealong......?
  5. With my son now becoming more manageable and less of an excuse for my fat lazy arse I realized in the months preceding his birth and 9 months after this I have gone from a 10 hour/ week training to 3 hours a month at most, and obviously my metabolism is slower than the n1 after 7 I have gained a bit of extra weight. I'm sure if I start riding again I will encourage my wife (my true cycling partner) to take up cycling again. We are going to start spinning twice a week, and some running for now to get her confident in her fitness. But on weekends early morning 6am rides I need another unfit person to take up the reins with me and start with 30km rides out in Durbanville.
  6. Thanks, contacted the 3 silos on Facebook, and looks good. Yes sure will pm you my number, bringing my wife back into the MTB thing after a year absence after our son was born. Her last stint was the 24hr race last year in Van Gaalens cheese farm, North west
  7. Thanks I know the Lavender Blue market, but didn't know they had trails. Is it safe in the EC for my wife and I, especially near Lavender blue there is a sizeable township nearby. Googling now
  8. Going to East London, more specific Gonube for a couple of days. Checking mtbroutes.co.za and seeing no trails close to this. There is one at Port Alfred 200km, and one north closer to the Transkei. Does anyone know of a closer trail?
  9. Thanks, It think im going to buy the Scott. Good price
  10. I got a good price on a 2013 Scott Speedster new, R9500 or can see online the merida race lite 901 doesn't look to bad. Any advice? I'm 1.94 and the guys says a xl will suffice?
  11. Thanks where is that. What is the closest to my location which is near the Graanendal Pick n Pay complex?
  12. I see a lot of MTBs on the road and vehicles coming in and out with bikes on caddies. Where exactly are the routes in Durbanville?

  17. Don't have the $ to fly up to joburg, Anyone want to buy my number?
  18. Ok so apparently my company does not want to pay for my flight to Jhb, and there are no reasonable flights under the 2k mark. I'm not paying 8 times my ticket price to do the 94.7. Can I sell the number? Does anyone know?
  19. Thanks yeah and we are moving to CPT so might make sense
  20. Ok the long and short of it, my wife and I started mtb a while back. After a muddy rainy race found out she was pregnant, hung up her shoes I needed screws for my shoes later the year and found out her screws were rusted tight. So bore a hole through them F$@@ing up the shoes. She was pissed so said as soon as she has trained up a bit and want to join me will get her new shoes. So today she msgs me she is ready, so from hubbers where can I get cool women mtb shoes asap in Jhb or Cape Town (only here today) in the range of R800 - R1200.......
  21. Anyone know where we can get the race results?
  22. Nah, I believe there is a road and mtb to fit each person. I don't spend crap loads of money on my mtb or road bike but enjoy it thoroughly.
  23. I wont call myself an expert, but have have been cooking ostrich to my liking for a couple of years. I usually buy the Fillit, then I rub some normal salt, black pepper, cloves and chilli flakes with some olive oil onto the meat. I then get a grill pan super hot and grill each side about 1 minute, turning sideways on the same side to get the criss cross effect.
  24. I buy photographs as the one on my profile pic (that one wasn't at the time ). Depends on the price, as some let you buy it for R35 - 50 or like R100 for a couple. And the place it was taken, for example a heavy technical decline or over a floating bridge
