[/quote']
Mmh..ja. Gaan maar n ander training spot moet kry of in grooter groepe daar ry.
Ja maar jy is dodgie jouself (My name is AL ) .
Why don't u got and play on the highway !!!
My roadbike don't work to well on the rough surface of a railway track...smileys/smiley17.gif
I allways look at what the pro's overseas are doing and none of them are riding with compact crank sets so my 52/39 and 12/25 is fine' date=' i'm gonna stay of the bandwagon for now! [/quote']
Dunno at what pro's you are looking, but for the last how many years, alot of the guys, Lance included as far as I know used compact cranks in the mountain stages of the TDF.
Looks good. MMh...looks like I will be going for a 50/34 - 11/23 combination then.
What's everyone's gear ratio's, thinking of buying a new crankset(actually new campy groupset) and trying to figure out if I should go for a compact crank.
How would a 50/34 with a 11-23 casette work? Would I have the same top end speed of a normal double but with a 12-25 casette in the back and better climbing gears?
If only I still had a mtb.......but training for next week wensday Carosel comes first.

Ian we are somewhere in the 21st century , we use microwave ovens because we haven't got time to wait !!
On second thoughts I don't want anybody to get lost so I will bring normal muffins !!!
[/quote']
I have a great recipe for some "special" muffins We should have a DnD muffin ride..
Get a roadbike. I have a FS MTB and I love training on the road bike, so much more effiecient, faster, less maintance, etc.
