  1. I live in Bahrain, and have done the 70.3 twice. Probably the flattest, and potentially most windy, race around ???? But a PB course if there ever was one...
  2. Cheabb78

    Hey?

Which one were you originally shopping for? ????
  3. Yeah, all done on the unit itself.
  4. Got my 530 last week (UK), and so far so good. No button issues as mentioned above. Don't have previous experience with any of the Edge models, so have nothing to compare it to, but easy enough to set-up having used various Garmin watches over the past few years.
  5. Thanks for the explanation, much appreciated.
  6. Sorry if this is a silly question, but what do you mean by 15min and take the complete value? If the 20min formula is ave watts x 95% = FTP, what is the 15min formula? Same formula, but resulting in a more accurate representation from your experience? Thanks.
  7. Do a lot of road riding on my own, and take it as a compliment if someone wants to draft me. Feels a lots worse when they go racing past me ????
  8. Anyone seen, or even better, used a Power Pod? Seems to be a solution for the multiple bikes question. Found lots of reviews, but haven't read through them yet.
  9. If you're not interested in the thread, then don't reply. OP has adopted a rather safe than sorry approach. If genuine, so be it, if not, then maybe good news for one of the 100's of bike owners who lose their hard earned machines every year.
  10. Looking forward to the report, particularly the first half of the ride...
  11. I saw on the Durban Ultra website that they have identified 3 possible locations for the swim route. Option 1 is as per the 70.3, with the other options moving further south as you said. Seems as through the transition area will move depending on the swim.
  12. 1. cheabb78 2. 45ish if been training, 55ish if been lazy 3. 185ish 4. 38 5. Aquarius 6. M 7. +/- 50?
  13. Not travelled with them recently, but used them a lot when in the Middle East when traveling to various races, both with a hard bike box and prior to that a soft case. Never had a single issue. Maybe just lucky at the time, but overall weight was always within the baggage allowance, which was 30kgs in economy at that time. Never arranged anything in advance either.
  14. You're right, big change to what the windguru was saying this morning - feeling a bit better now
  15. Race no 776 - goal is to be faster than last year... Weather not looking promising, but still a few days to go.
  16. I read somewhere that if training for a tri / duathlon, that every ride should be followed by a 5min jog to get your legs used to that initial change over. Obviously if it's a brick session then you're running anyway.
  17. That's interesting, I admit I'm no expert. As it happens, there are groups in Durban who have been in discussion with the municipality about establishing a cycle lane on that stretch. Sadly none of that changes the tragic events of this morning, but perhaps there's a bit of hope for the future?
  18. There's a lot of cyclists on the M4 every weekend, so yes. The stretch they were on has a wide yellow lane, so we can only speculate at this time as to what happened. Have also seen this link, look at the state of the car, must have been flying!!! So sad and unnecessary! http://northglennews.co.za/75137/two-cyclists-killed-on-m4/
  19. Never been able to do it with an allen key. 15mm spanner with a pipe for leverage works every time...
  20. Is the yamalube a marine (waterproof) grease?
  21. I'm on my 3rd pair of those, most comfortable I have used. Swim in the sea a lot and this current pair is still going strong. Got a kink in the rubber with my first pair from travelling with them in my bike box, they leaked from then on...
  22. Sorry, I was being lazy, just checked, 14 April 2016, R3750 after that...
  23. Does it mention a cut off date for that entry fee?
