Otherwise there's also the option to head back at Karatera and take the tar back to town.

I average about 22kph and it takes about 3 and a half hours including a stop at the trail park on the way for a coke. I ride from the Knysna side and the wife usually meets me in George. Lots of climbing lots of spectacular views...
