  1. Thanks for the quick response!
  2. Hopefully the right section to ask. Will the Thule roof racks from a VW Caddy fit a Golf 5? Thank you in advance.
  3. 1st video is off the charts! Some parts so narrow I felt my toes curling!
  4. Being in the states at the moment these things all seem so cheap. I also considered this option but as mentioned above battery life and possible damage to the phone put me off. And it's pointless having all this info available and not being able to read it as your phone is in your hydration pack. I have therefore ordered a Suunto M5 and eagerly await its arrival this afternoon (it's on 00h38am here).
  5. Sorry to hear about your hand! I once broke two knuckles on my right hand and had the doctor wrap up everything he needed to except and thumb and index figer - this allowed me to do all my regular daily and weekend activites. Recovery time for that was just over or just under two months. Wish you a speedy recovery bud!
  6. Thank you for all the comments, I will definitely reconsider my options.
  7. I am currently in the states and will return to sunny South Africa at the end of this month. When I return I aim to buy a Giant Anthem x2 but would only be able to afford a second hand one at around R15000. What do you fellow Hubbers think of this deal: http://conduitcycle.net/products/Giant-Anthem-X2-2010-Bike.html It is a brand new bike and with shipping to South Africa costs only $1850 which is even less than R15000. Thank you in advance for any comments and opinions. Darrel
  8. Hi All I am going to America for a year next year and would like to purchase a XC or Marathon dual suspension bike to bring back home with me. With a budget of $2500.00, which bike would you recommend? Thanks in advance.
  9. And I am back at work. The joys of working like an owl in the night. Thank you very much for all the assistance. I found a Scott Aspen with Deore LX componentry and it is in spotless condition so I will most probably be getting that to take part in Sprint races and progress to a better bike once I have improved my skills, fitness etc. I should've joined this places ages ago - I love it here =)
  10. Hi I would like to start taking part in adventure races and would require a x-cross country bike. Any suggestions on which bike to get? I am looking at spening R8000.00 at the most. Peace out
