I have brought a new frame that needs a bb30 but I have a Shimano xt crank so I brought an adapter today. The adapter pushed very easly into the frame I just used my hands. Is this an issue? Secondly with the adapter the spindle of the crank is not long enough to reach the opposite arm properly.it is 20mm to short. How can I fix all this? I hope I made sense

I have a DT swiss hub that is currently 142x15mm that I need to convert to 135x9mm.I have the adapters to go from 15mm to 9mm. Can I convert the rest of the hub?
