  1. It is a bomber. I have done my other RST forks but those where spring suspension. The bomber is air and oil. I don't want to take it apart only to screw it up. The manual is not exactly helpful either. JB said he could have a look at it, I will take it there and then steal with my eyes for the next service.
  2. Does anyone know who the service agents in Gauteng for Marzocchi Forks are? I bought a fork off the hub, and just want to have it checked out and given a service. There seems to be a "knocking" noise well more of a feel when I hit the brakes.
  3. Wimpie, I don't know where in Gauteng you are, but I can recommend Centurion Cycles in Centurion. Jan has the best service I have seen thus far. Grant Cycles in Centurion are also good. TomTrek2009-01-06 16:38:10
  4. Thanks Daemon, Gonna give them a call now.
  5. Deamon Do you know what their operating times are? Do you perhaps have contact details. Answers Man I need answers
  6. Ok, so I got the Omnia, nice phone blah blah. I want to make use of the GPS to track my rides, something like Nokia sportstracker does. Does anyone out there have any s/w for WM6 that can do this? The Garmin XT s/w supplied does support tracks, but I cannot get the data off the phone. I dont have mapsource so I don't know wether it would work with the omnia to get the data off. Any suggestions??
  7. 4 1 road and 3 MTB
  8. yea baby
  9. I do, but I find I keep riding into things when I have the eyepatch on.
  10. turtlek look at the branding, not sure if you can see from the pic
  11. turtlek, on my mongoose, they did not put decals, all the branding was painted. I will try to post a pic on my thread fopr you to look at. https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=37619&PID=606101#606101 TomTrek2008-11-24 01:32:41
  12. So you don't moisturise. I want to see you in 20 years time, face like leather. I find the polish actually helps to keep it clean, the fine dust has nowhere to settle on the smooth surface. Just my 2 cents.
  13. Bdup that is really really nice, what did Cycleart charge for that paint job? I too am building my wife a bike for xmas. I was going to make it a single colour like mine, but after seeing this I have other plans.. @ rock, the spray the decals, in other words it is airbrushed, not vinyl..
  14. I use, car shampoo, and a soft brush for those, tougher stains and caked on mud. If i'm really feeling energetic, i apply car polish, just for the extra shine. Clean the chain and cassette with prepsol, and then apply wax lubricant after it is dry.
  15. Thanks all. Rude I went with Clarks Silver braided all round, just to break the black. Already I want to upgrade to hydraulic discs. And find a truvative seat post. But having spent just short of 10k, it will have to wait.
  16. Thanks. Spray job was R1900, the colour is a pearly black, photo does not do it justice
  17. Newly sprayed by cycleart. Started life as a frame bought on the hub from gbasso. Fork (IanJ), crank (SVM3000), shifters and Rear derailleur(Great White), brakes (Thomo) and rotors (Loon) F/D (Singletrackmind), all bought from Hubbers. My newest toy aka " The Black Pearl"
  18. You need to wrap the ends of the tube under the tube that you are wrapping around. The tricky part is the end you are finishing at. A bit of practise and you will do it like a pro. TomTrek2008-11-08 04:49:34
  19. unreal... words cannot express the anger I feel towards the shooter. Just give me 5 minutes alone with him...
  20. Well done to the Randburg SAPS. I do this trail often and although I have had no problems. It's good to know they are out there
  21. Same here. And believe you me, I have taken many a hard knock , only thing that broke was the front shock!! The Frame can take a beating.
  22. Thank you. I like it. Just need some nice campy wheels.
  23. Little TomTrek planning a strategy.....
