  1. Done and dusted, watch ordered via CWC online ( love that site), addressed to the young lady in George, if all goes well it should be there by Friday. Hope she gets the best benefit from it.
  2. Tunariaan, Please PM me the address where we can ship the watch to. I will purchase direct from CWC and get them to send it to her. WW we can sort out the details at a later stage. @Tunariaan I have sent you an email too.
  3. I will contribute R100.00 towards the HR monitor. PM me bank details
  4. I will take one too. PM me the details.
  5. While I would rather be dead than be seeing riding a raleigh. I this case the raleigh is a better buy. Apart from the looks aspect ( interesting spoke pattern on the wheels and the frame is good looking too) The components too are of a better spec than the silverback. Deore Vs Alvio. If you can get the raleigh, then I would suggest you take it.
  6. Gee a real man's man. Safe for who? Your'e actions were not condusive to safe riding. It does not matter, if they were on your wheel for 50k's. No one deserves that kind of treatment.
  7. It was a good race but the three hills in the beginning were rather harsh, but the rest was flat and fast. Reserve chick I cycled some of the way on the highway out with you. Alas I took a tumble after we got off the highway after the 39 and 97k split. Thanks to the cyclist who stopped to help, although I could not see his face, as my eyes were full of blood, and the two "tannies" who were waiting on the side of the road for their family members to come past for calling the ambulance. I got seven stitches above my eye and a good couple of roasties for my effort. But i will be back next year.
  8. no, the derailleurs, should be fine. Crank too. I went from 9 to 10 and only replaced shifters, chain and cassette. I use campag but i suspect the same will apply to Shimano.
  9. that can seriously bugger up your day....
  10. Since been upgraded to XT 775 Dual Contol and XT770 Rear and Front Derailleurs. Planet X Seat and Grips and Ilink Gear Cables. TomTrek2010-02-15 13:16:41
  11. Nice Job. How about some more detail on how you did it? For instance what is the bike resting on? Is that a part from another bike rack modified to suit your application?
  12. If you have to ask you cant afford it anyway
  13. Yes. Done it Myself when I bent my derailleur going through freshly cut grass.
  14. So what!!!!!!......... if you saw it' date=' it does not mean EVERYBODY has seen it...... dont be so big headed boy!!!!!!!![/quote'] If i've seen it EVERYBODY must have seen it.................. dont be a cantankerous old fart!!!!!!!!!
  15. geez buddy this is about 3 years old!!
  16. check rs.com or communica.co.za. You may find what you need there
  17. You really need to get a life. I felt R50 was expensive to send a R80 value parcel to Witbank. This is my opnion wether you like it or not. There are the facts.
  18. Oh boy, clearly you must work in the industry. Sorry for me having an opinion. I have better thing to do than argue the costs of shipping, ridiculous as they are.
  19. I'm not being a cheapskate, I think that courier costs are ridiculous. They did not drive there only to deliver my parcel, more than likely there were 20 parcels of the same size and value, and I'm sure bigger ones too. Work that out, seeing as you are so quick with your calculations.
  20. I sent a 1 kg parcel to from PTA to Witbank on Friday and it was R50 through Speed Services. I could have driven there and back for less..
  21. Edman, JB. Who are the agents for campag? Or can you order the spares from your LBS at a premium? I too would like to take a part my Levers, they have served me well, but as JB ponts out they have nearly lost their "click"
  22. Hectic !!! Be careful out there!!
