1. Hi, haven't been cycling for a very long time. I tried to see what my seeding is on cyclelab's seeding but can not access it. Is this still the right place to see what my seeding is or did it change?
2. Thanx Road Rangers the cyclists really felt safe with your presence. Thumbs up for a job well done.
3. DJVR don't fool yourself thinking the shorter route is easier. The shorter route is even worse because you get all those hills again in reverse order. I did the short route last year and we also had a lot of wind. It almost killed me.
4. Event Name: 93.9 Auto Aplina Springs Cycle Race 2012 When: 8 September 2012 Where: Nigel Dam, Gauteng Category: Road This is the second time that we are hosting the 93.9 Auto Aplina Springs Cycle Race. It was a big success last year and hope to achieve the same this year. Online entries are closing today but there will also be line entries available. For more information on the race go to http://www.springsgirls.co.za/ and click on news. The route is very challenging and there are a few hills towards Balfour. Go to Event Page
5. Thanx Dustbug I now have quite a lot of testing to do.
6. Disc was checked no problem.
7. Gauteng, East rand
8. I don't know a lot about brakes and wheels as I am a lady but I know the one mechanic said he took some air out of the brakes but this did not solve the problem. The brakes was also adjusted but this also did not help. I will ride with the bike again and if I have the problem again take the wheel out and spin it to see if it perhaps are the bearings.
9. I also thought that it might be the bearings. Was thinking of taking it to singeltrack to see if they can solve the problem but it is about 80km from where I live I don't want to name the shops which have already tried to fix it.
10. Well the guy who tried to fix it rode the bike and said it is very strange. I knew that this would be the response but I really would like to know if anyone knows what could be wrong?
11. I have a KHS alite 2000 bike with more or less only 800km on the clock. The problem is the front wheel and brake's. I have had it for repairs to 3 cycle shop already and every time they tell me the problem is now solved but I still have the problem. This is the problem. "it starts off fine but the longer you ride the tighter/slower the wheel gets the harder I have to pedal. It feels like riding uphill the hole time". Anybody knows what the problem can be? The one mechanic said that it is really very strange.
12.
I am unable to upload images but just google 1 Kern Road, Nigel. If you come from Secunda on the N17 take the Witroad offramp and turn right onto Wit Road. Keep straight with Wit Road over 2 bridges towards Nigel, the first bridge is just as you turned onto Wit Road. Turn right at the second robot there is a golf course on your left hand side after the turn. If you come from JHB side on the N17 you will take the Wit Road offramp just after the school and turn left onto Wit Road. Hope this makes sense. The distance from Wit Road to the second robot is plus minus 15-18km.

13.
Nee van Springs af. Daar sal line entries ook gedoen kan word as ek reg kan onthou. Die straat se naam waar Coca Cola Shanduk is, is op die Nigel-Springs (M63) pad.

14. Regarding the markings on the MTB route our cycling club did not host the previous MTB races but thank you for the tip we are definitely going to look into it.
15. For the event page go to http://www.springsgirls.co.za/ and click on news you will find all the information regarding the race on the schools website.
16. The route is flat with no climbs. There are a few drags but is easy ride-able. There is quite a lot of single-track "these are tracks which were used by pedestrians but nice". There is also a few farm roads and also a bit of tarr road but it is short. The route is not very technical with a few stone crossings but not very long. There is also one or two drop-offs but they are not very high. The route has a very nice flow and is nice to ride. Hope this helps.
17. Event Name: 93.9 Auto Alpina Springs Mountain Bike Race 2012 When: 25 August 2012 Where: Coca Cola Shanduka, Nige, Gauteng Category: MTB Last year we hosted the road race and this year there will be a MTB race as well. The road race was a huge success and we plan on doing the same with the MTB race. Go to Event Page
18. Hallo everybody. It is again time for the Auto Alpina cycle race. You will be glad to hear that this year we have a MTB race as well as a road race. The MTB race will have three distances. 66km, 44km, and 22km. The MTB race is on the 25th of August and entries can be done on Cyclelab. The road race will be on the 8th of Sept. and will again start at Nigel dam. Those of you who did the race last year will remember that it is a "not so flat" flat race and was a lot of fun. Hope to see everybody there.
19. Thanx everybody will check it out.
20. Anybody know where can I buy the ThudBuster in the Gauteng area?
21. Did the long route yesterday and I think it is a awsome route for a novice like me and my friend did it for the first time. Apart from the fact that it is close to home it was a very nice ride.
22. Does anybody know what happened to lady who came down just before Carnival City one of our club members came down with her but she is fine. She is however concerned about the lady and would like to know how she is?
23. These guys is difficult to get hold of. None of the contact numbers which I searched is working.
24. Thanks for the co-ordinates. I have also searched for a website but with no success.
25. Anybody have gps co-ordinates?
