Good evening fellow Hubbers! I am in the market for a new carbon, dual-sus. That's where the trouble starts, as doing a lot of research helps, but as well can give you too much to think about. Some more info: At the moment I ride a carbon hardtail and I am someone who frequents trails like Wolwespruit, rides marathons and the occasional stage races. Que the Orbea Oiz. After watching Flow Mountainbike's review of the Oiz (really informative page btw), this bike seems to be a very valid option for someone looking fro a snappy, carbon dual-sus that handles well, fits 2 bottle cages etc. The squid-lock remote as well is very appealing. Can anyone vouch for this bike in particular or have experience with Orbea in South Africa? Should I rather stick to the brands are more common in SA? Thanks in advance, cheers

Good morning to all I am toying with the idea of building up a race ready dual suspension. After researching new frame designs etc, my heart is set on a epic frame, preferably a 2021 design, for a few reasons: New age geoSpace for 2 bottlesBeautiful paint jobsBrain suspensionOn the other hand, looking at the Epic comp, coming in at R83000 for a decent build (12-speed SLX groupset and brakeset, Rockshox reba fork, alloy wheels), it is worth trying to build up for less than that? Any advice or builds I could compare to would be appreciated! TIA, cheers

Once we've moved in and all the other necessities are in place I would prob find the wall space to hang the bikes indoors..but this place is 1.5 bedrooms small, it gets a bit cluttered. But only in the UK and expensive!

Anyone on Hubland have any experience and advice on securely storing bikes outdoors? Moving into a new place with limited indoor space and no garage, but a small garden. Was thinking some sort of lockable, weather resistant container, big enough for 2 bikes, but not garden shed big.. Anyone tried or done this? There are some examples on the web, but pricey is the general trend.. Thanks in advance!

Estimated vertical ascent for the marathon? I've checked the online booklet, they repeated the ultra marathon's vertical ascent on the marathon profile page..

I reckon just the existence of Africa's first UCI world tour cycling team is inspiring enough! And the white kit is easy to spot in the bunch, not to mention the cool green hand logo thing on the back! Imagine that from the helicopter in the Tour!

What is the situation at Klapperkop these days like? Safe to ride, any trouble lately?

How is the Spruit in terms of cycling safety these days? Haven't ridden the Spruit in a while, keen to do so again. Any dangerous incidents or encounters recently?
