  1. 1x10 Conversion is definitely the best thing I have ever done. 32T in front and just added a 40T at the back. Since the conversion I have 8 friends that have gone the same route. Now the next thing is to try a Oval ring.
  2. I bought myself a polar strap in the beginning of the year.Garmin did not want to help with my strap and they only wanted to sell me a new one over 500 Rantes, think it was 700 Rantes. Haha they weren't gonna fool this dutchman. I Abused google and found a few pages, supporting the polar belt. I bought one at Sportsman's warehouse for 250 Rantes. It is more comfortable and it works like a bomb not one hint of issues. The sad thing was I only had my garmin for 4 months.
  3. I have a stumpy and love it. Must say i also like some of those Orbea's you see at the World champs and World cups. People with alot of money and people trying to stand out will go and buy a Epic. Its just a culture thing, like a toyota bakkie. If you go measure the quality of some off these products they all round about the same.
  4. I ran one of those Park runs nothing special just a 5km. Was fine all day, then the evening I could barely walk. Tore my ligaments in my foot. Flippen Sore Never knew I have pronating feet. Had to get a special insert for my shoes to stop the pronation. Would say its a good thing when buying shoes to go to guys that knows what they doing they usually see it right away.
  5. Awesome thanks guys. Had a blond moment totally forgot about strava.
  6. Thanks guys. Vetseun the fishing there is really awesome. I am also looking for rides where you can jump on the bike and ride from Jbay. There is so many farms there and you can see all the jeep tracks, but there is no chance where I am just gonna ride and maybe get a shotgun up my you know what. So if there is any locals in JBay please share. Maybe I'll bump into you Vetseun.
  7. HI Guys. Every year December I Leave Durban for Jeffreysbay. During this time I trade my MTB in most of the days for a fishing rod. Its not that bad and its time with my father in law that keeps the wife and in laws happy. I have ridden down there, but dont know any routes to ride. Followed a dirt road that goes around to Humans dorp and found a gate half way. On the way back i found a old railway and just followed it. So I ask can any one help me with any info on trails and routes around Jbay. Would appreciate it alot.
  8. I got a bit of discount and got myself a Specialized Stumpjumper 29. Moerse nice. Done Sani and Duzi 2 C twice on it and still no issues.
  9. Could never be a passenger. After the first attempt of trying to skip a robot I would of klapped the oak in front of me that didnt know if he is coming or going. Might need to stop first. Dont wanna klap him then go down in the middle of the intersection.
  10. For the last 2 years I've been using the Mavic Bibs. Got 3 of them and they are really comfortable. Think next time I'll def go buy some more. The padding is awesome I've done some long rides without chamios cream and had no pain or sand paper effect. "Crack Friendly"

Guys I did it last year after the Sani. It was really awesome and right upthere with the Sani. It had so many and interesting single track and to make it more interesting the concept of no markers and using your GPS. This year I am doing it again, Cant wait.
  12. Guys its a awesome network place to find business over a sweaty ride. I am busy putting a deal together on a 500 mil project just by meeting contacts on a bike. If the deal go threw the company cant say no to sponsoring me on all the rides I wanna do.
