  1. Hi guys. Been a while. Here are some pics that I took of Darren Lill this week. Let me know what you think. The rest is on my website. Darren Lill Regards Hendrik
  2. I am fine. Was not aloud to ride for 6months off road and my short term memory was very bad. Had to go for cat scan.
  3. Hi Guys. After Marius spoke about his crashed I had the idea. Photos and stories of worst crashes by hub members. I will kick it off. To hell and back 2008. Lying in 6th place chasing Dennis de Toit on last decent into the hell. All I remember was riding across the line and people running towards me. I crashed and most of the impact went to the face. Broke my Oakley in half ( I picked them up and put them into my pockets of which I have no recall) I also spoke to 3 people that stopped on the side of the road to help. Finished the stage in 10th I think. I rode the last 3km of the decent and till this day still dont remember. My hand was broken and my shoulder ligaments torn. Only got to hospital 9pm that night. Needless to say it was a pretty K@K day. Here is a photo afterwards.
  4. Cool Marius. Glad you ok. MTB she is bitch. She throws us of sometime. I had a huge crash in to hell and back two years ago. Happens so quickly but not gonna kill your post with the storey. Hope you recover quick

  9. I dont post much here but feel today deserves a post. We unfortunately live in a society that is predominantly fueled from the top by African Culture. Africa Culture dominates South Africa. We try and make a difference and and talk and act about it, but to no avail..... Society and decisions it makes are only as strong as our culture that gives it blood. This will never change here. I rode in France many years ago. First day out on the road with my French team mates (without helmets) we were riding up this climb. The next moment I realized there were about 10 cars behind us. I shouted single file, single file". The Frenchies thought I was mad. The cars just chilled their waiting their turn to pass our group. This is what I mean. We live in Society where decisions are made by immature people. Government is voted in by uneducated supporters. Law and order means nothing. Has no value. And this will never change because we live in this place called africa. We are blessed with the most beautiful part in the world with one catch...Africanism My heart goes out to the families of this horrific accident. Lets pray for change. And for all the other people riding on our rodes with families at home...
  10. or the rock for that matter. or the car slowing down on my right without a indicator that is going to turn left in front of me.
  11. Mmmmmm' date=' can you anticipate a puncture?.. [/quote'] i normally anticipate that the glass in the road will give me a puncture....
  12. Dude. Awareness. thats all it comes down too. I can say in 15 years of cycling that i have avoided almost all the crashes and even punctures too. Just anticipate all ways what they going to do. Think for them.
  13. she is gonna pump it 2moro daai Suid naaier van n wind...
  14. Andrew Mclean is a poephol. Supercycling is just boosted him further at cycle lab. This is so not right. Nothing wrong with Chain Reaction Cycles. Global trade is chaning. Why must i buy a Apple Mac in Sa for R14000 when i can get in on the net for R4500. Big stores and shopping mall are going to close down one day
  15. its the same R100 + 14% + 50% =R171 R100 + 50% + 14% = R171
  16. Brilliant idea. Def about 3-4 weeks after the argus. Just when the season dies down a bit there somthing to look forward too.
  17. Nice one coxie!
  18. Hanco Kachelhoffer
  19. Absolutely Brilliant!
  20. I know it is not right. But try telling that to one of the european pro. I rode back after sunday's mtb argus. two Rapha Condor riders came past doing a easy ride going through piniel with out helmets and riding next to each other with busses and taxis passing them.... Sometime they just dont know Hendrik_S2009-03-04 00:05:51
  21. What do you guys think?
  22. Het jy nie versekering op jou fiets nie? Dan kan hulle mos die 15k betaal?
  23. The crossmarks are a bit heavy. But like most people have said they are almost indestructable. I have ridden the maxis brand now for the last 4 years. And i dont even take my tube or pump with on rides. Not even on the epic. This is def by far the most realiable tyre on the market. If you are a pro then you can go worry about 115g?> Small Block is in same league as Crossmark. I thik it corners better but rolls a bit slower on the fast stuff. Its a bit softer so bends a bit better over the rocks and boom wortels so has much more feel and control. Its got the same puncture resistance as the Crossmark.
  24. Renaldo Bosch is quite easy to spot even if he is out of focus right at the back Was he not DQ'd after stage 2 for holding on to cars?
