  1. Wow, quite a debate. I personally think the 27.5's are a way of the future. Just like the 29ers have dominated the market up until now. But the market is always changing and you can never keep up with the changes. It all comes down to personal preference, what works for one person, doesn't work for another...
  2. Hi, I know this is a much debated subject as there are loyal fans for all the different wheel sizes (26",27.5",29") but I found this write up quite useful and it influenced me to purchase my 2014 27.5" bike. http://reviews.mtbr.com/giant-fully-commited-to-27-5-for-2014

  5. Hi, I am getting back into mountain biking. Need some advice with kit to suite my pocket: 1) Best Mtb Helmet (Budget R1500) 2) Best Mtb Shoes (Budget R1500) 3) Best computer (Budget R1000) Thanks
  6. Hi Guys, I am new on TheHub, so firstly, Hi! I am looking at getting a good quality mountain bike with a good group set that can last many years - will be buying two of these, one for me and one for my father. The 2014 Merida Tfs 500 Big Nine caught my eye because it has a good group set and air shocks with remote lockout. Just a few questions: 1) Price, what would this bike go for - best deal ? (please specify where) 2) Performance, anyone has this bike or the previous years? We will primarily use this bike for single trail with the odd technical sections. (ie. Groenkloof, Modderfontein) Thanks Guys!
