  1. Indirectly, after 6 years, many many many mountain bikes races all over SA, from the Cape to Sabie, Pietermaritzburg to Jhb, to George etc etc., ten's of thousands of rands later - don't even want to think how much i spend on bikes, traveling, accommodation and related costs , my son eventually got his first SA mtb title this year. I feel i also achieved something in supporting him all these years, through thick and thin, tears and disappointments and eventually the JOY of been a supportive father, when he achieved success!!

  2. There is another form of cycling called mountain biking. They use fat wheels. It seems that the authorities in cycling sometimes wish them away, or forget that they exists. One of the guys that was at the worlds this yr had to pay something like R15000 to ensure that he can take part.

My question is: if a guy or girls does not have a dad/mom with a fat cheque book/bank account, should they rather stay at home?

Should CyclingSA not perhaps have a stake in major events (not just the fatcats organising it) to get money, to send riders overseas? Perhaps we must get Malema on our side to "Nationalize" cycling events (hehehe)

  3. I saw on twitter : "Cyclist hijacked in Victoria Drive/Walmer Township this morning! That was the 2nd cycling attacked in 3 weeks in Victoria Drive. Please only go up that road in a bunch!"

Will it not help to carry these small devices that generate 20 000V, and then shock the hell out of them. I suppose it wont be useful if they carry a firearm, but in other circumstances it may help. I have one that is about 8-10cm long and 5cm wide and easily fits into the back pocket. Any other suggestions?

  4. I was asked today by a cyclist where he can buy TRIDENOSEN. I have never heard of it before and did a bit of research on the net. Its safe and is not banned in cycling. Is anybody out there using it? Will it get banned? I was told here are many cyclist in SA using it? Any truth in this statement?

This is info on it from the web.

Tridenosen H is a cutting edge anabolic compound that will blow the top off muscle and strength gains!

This muscle builder is designed to stimulate testosterone receptors on the muscles in a big way, causing a degree of protein metabolism that will give you almost unreal gains...the type of which you have never experienced before! Imagine the results when stacking with a testosterone booster!

Tridenosen H also increases blood flow to the muscles giving an unbelievable pump, resulting in huge muscle gains from a process that increases the capillaries and blood volume in the muscles permanently! This is the same process that gives cyclist their incredible leg development. However, with Tridenosen H this can happen all over the body.

Tridenosen H contains ATP (Adenosine 5"-triphosphate) which is the source of pure cellular energy! When ATP levels are high you can train virtually all day and recover quickly! Quick recovery means steady gains in size and strength!

Tridenosen H is extremely thermogenic! ATP shuts down the A1-adenosine receptors on the muscles that inhibit fat burning, resulting in massive thermogenesis! Get massive size and strength and get ripped at the same time!

Q: A friend of mine is stacking a new Australian anabolic called TridenosenH with No-Doz (caffeine pills) and he is getting really shredded and vascular. I’ve seen him on Winny-V and Deca before and he now has a similar appearance. Why is stacking Tridenosine with caffeine so effective for getting cut?

A: I think the drug you are referring to is Tridenosen, which is an Australian veterinarian drug that contains high amounts of Adenosine Triphosphate (Adenosine 5’-triphosphate), otherwise known as ATP. The comments you made about your friend didn’t surprise me because caffeine and Tridenosen are now being stacked by a lot of bodybuilders in Australia and Europe, and a growing number in the U.S.

Tridenosen is a potent blood volumizer as well as an anabolic agent that exerts its anabolic action by increasing MRNA-DNA transcription. This intricate protein synthesis axis is the “linchpin” of how all skeletal muscle is developed and is the “mechanism of action” for every anabolic steroid ever made!

However, since Tridenosen contains massive amounts of ATP, this natural process is accelerated similar to what hormonal anabolics cause but without any hormone manipulation. The cause of this, quite obviously, is the elevation of nitrogen which then triggers this complex protein manufacturing process.

Tridenosen is also a potent vasodilator which will shuttle more nitrogen into your muscle cells, due to increased blood volume. This explains the intense vascularity your friend is experiencing, similar to Nandralone (Deca) which is a potent stimulator of red blood cell production.

The reason your friend is stacking caffeine with Tridenosen is because like ATP, caffeine is a very potent A1-Adenosine agonist. This is good because A1-Adenosine receptors inhibit fat loss, so when something shuts them off (like ATP and caffeine) the number of these receptors gets less and less over time.

You didn’t tell me how long your friend has been on this stack, but most guys continue to get leaner and leaner on a progressive basis reaching maximum receptor shutdown with about 90 days.

  6. The biggest problem with our rugby is Mr "Experiment" de Villiers . Instead of playing with our "A-Team" against sides such as Italy before important games, they give our "B" and "C" team players a chance. How the hell must out players "gel" and get to know each other before important games?

  7. I still have a 2008 booklet and decide to check out the 2010 booklet on the cyclingsa website. As i am a "pillesmous" , i was quite interested to see if it has changed. It is totally different. There are plenty of new flu meds and cough mixtures etc now listed. Its worth checking it out if you are a competitive cyclist/athlete. Even something like glycerine that you can by from Pick a Pay, is now banned.

Make sure that your pharmacist or GP has the latest 2010 download or booklet, or you may get a surprise if you stand on the podium regularly.

    the website is

ps ...... good news for all the old toppies and young girls using Viagra for improved blood circulation (old toppies - you know where) and the ladies to their lungs to carry more oxygen, its not banned as yet.

  8. My Thule 3-bike stand developed a problem with the mechanism that fits onto the towbar of my car, and Thule replaced the parts with no questions been asked. They posted it to me (700km away), and 2 days later i fitted it.

    Great service!

  9. These guys from Molteno in the Eastern Cape have a "winter swim" every yr with the first snow in town. I suppose it kills all the flu bugs! They had it this pass weekend.(pic from facebook)
