I am not sure if this topic has been covered before, but please assist me. I have a GoPro sessions 5, and is struggling to get the settings right on both the camera and in GoPro Studio, for when posting to Facebook or Youtube. The default quality on FB seems to low and on higher settings, it start stops all the time. On the pc the quality is amazing but once posted, i am always disappointed. Any suggestions on the best settings for the Sessions 5 camera for the normal day to day bike riding videos, and when exporting it from GoPro Studio for uploading to FB or Youtube? Please advise

While huffing and puffing up a hill with the sun in my eyes, i almost greeted mr Puffadder , wanting to cross the road. After this incident, i was wide awake on the bike.. Apologies for the bad quality. I am still trying to figure out the Gopro sessions 5 settings and software, for uploads. (Set quality to a higher setting when viewing for clarity)

We should have a clause on all race entry forms that state that if found doping, they must refund all money received to the organisers, within say 30 days. If unable then their assets may be attached and sold. The returned money is then payed to other competitors in line, or used for development of the sport. Another option is to withhold the money, until blood tests clear the winners my 2c worth to make these guys think about their sins.

Thx guys. i have the original AC hubs and is concerned that the spokes may not be right. If i need to buy spokes , then i can just as well get the same AC rim and payup.

I have an American classic race 29er tubeless Rim 32h that is damaged. The dealers want to charge me R2000 for replacement. Can i go for a Ztr 29 er rim, and what would be close or equivalent using the same spokes? I believe Ztr's are almost half the price. Please advise

From my experience being part of the Health care industry i can only say 1 thing - negotiate , negotiate and negotiate prices and charges. If you don't then expect to pay maximum. The healthcare professionals wait weeks and months to get paid by most medical aids, meanwhile the merc and holiday home needs to be paid for. Private and medical aid patients get charged levies or extra fees to keep the cash flow going. If you have to have an operation, ask whether the anesthetist or surgeon or x-ray department or laboratory or even the hospital, is contracted in or out to medical aid fees BEFORE ANY SERVICE IS RENDERED. If the anesthetist is contracted out, ask the surgeon to use another person or negotiate directly with the anesthetist before the procedure, to not have to pay above the medical aid rates. If you are scared to speak to the doctor, then pay up and keep quiet. a Doctor is a person like you and me and they will negotiate with you, if you state your reasons or financial situation to them,as it is. Business is business today!!

Which mountain bikers are getting financial support from Cycling SA, to assist them in preparing for the next Olympics? Have we got a structured plan to get them on the podium? Are they currently the best prospects to achieve for SA at this Olympics XC race, or just to represent SA? just curious................

Let me be honest, i have only had good dealings with them in the past and even recently when a frame cracked . But what has been said on this site is damaging and left more questions than answers in my mind. Lets be honest, All of us keep our bikes either in our garages, or outside rooms or inside our houses.What are we suppose to do now? Keep all doors locked 100% of the time? Is your 2.5m closed gate and fence not secure enough anymore? I am in 2 minds about them now.

It would be interesting to know how many other suckers have been screwed by insurance this way. What will happen if they all put in the old claims to be "reviewed" for stolen bikes. On MIWAY - i was screwed by them a year ago and changed insurance. Had a break in with my car. 1.The levy to be paid for the window and dashboard damage was the same as for a new window/components to be replaced - i ended up paying for it a good few thousands. 2.the radio stolen was factory fitted and standard issue in my car (actually a cheapy of R950) - they claimed radios are not part of cars and i must be paid for by myself or have it separately listed to be covered in future. My understanding of the fine print was different. Got fed up and cancelled my policy after weeks of arguments. That was my first claim ever with them. A cheap radio to be replaced costed them a policy, and no good word ever from me again to my friends about MIWAY.!! MORAL OF THE STORY - READ THE FINE PRINT AND ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE CHANGING INSURANCE, OR POST ON THE HUB FOR ADVICE hehe

It would be very nice if somebody can start a Facebook page, where all cyclist that have taken pictures over the years of Burry, can post it in remembrance of this LEGEND. Lets only stick to pictures and no long messages please, as it is a specific request. Perhaps somebody can then even print a book of Burry Stander live in pictures from when he started cycling, until today. It will help us to celebrate his wonderful life. He Achieved more in 25 years, than most of people will achieve in a lifetime
