  1. Hi Shell Belle, I am taking it that you like our designs. As we gather momentum with our Bicyclegear.co.za Originals range we will certainly be expanding our offering to include all cyclist...
  2. At a 30in waist you will be a small. Here is the direct link to purchase, http://bicyclegear.co.za/product/hemp-mountain-bike-baggy/ http://bicyclegear.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/BG-size-charts.jpg
  3. Regarding pocket position: We looked at putting pockets on the bum. These pockets will always get in the way of the saddle and by bulking here will mean less slack on the front of the short.Pockets on the side of the short run the risk of having their content falling out unless there are zips. Once again when you bulk up here it means less slack on the leg and the pedal stroke. This is also a prime position for your "pita problem".We settled on two zipped pockets above the quad as this position, even when bulked up, still allows the leg to move freely when pedaling. By placing the pocket above the leg when seated on the bike, means contents of your pocket are more likely to stay in position in the zipped pocket. The pockets are designed to carry a car-key, cash, ICE card, credit cards, map, Activity card/permits, gels and a box of smarties if you would like.Regarding the question about the prices for an Apres Velo tee that you and Cav' have posed: It is a really high quality t-shirt brand. They are either 100% cotton or a Cotton-Elastene.We import the shirts from Australia. There are strict requirements for the shirts regarding manufacturing and printing.Wash and shrink tests are done on each sample to ensure the shirt you buy won't colour bleed or shrink. The prints on the shirts won't fade or crack and will stay vivid. We have looked at producing them locally at a quality level that Apres Velo would be happy with. The price works out almost the same and we would have to make large quantities. We would far rather bring in a wider range and smaller quantities to offer the public.
  4. Size chart: http://bicyclegear.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/BG-size-charts.jpg
  5. Apologies I sent you a size chart where the waistline is in cm! Those should be inches...28in, 30in, 32in, 34in, 36in...
  6. Sorry I meant size 38in or 96cm waist is coming.
  7. Cav' once again you have every right to voice your opinion about what you feel is the correct price for a product.
  8. We have got 38mm coming soon. We have done tests with a grey, black, blue and green. Grey came out as the colour of choice for the launch.

  10. Glad you like the style of our shirts. Our price is based on the technical make up of the shirt and the time/expertise it takes to sew a technical garment together. Thanks for your opinion on the price.
  11. V12man, they will gather sweat but dry very quickly. The hollow fibre allows for better breathability and quicker evaporation.
  12. We have started with a grey version with a red thread. It is a great material to work with and the fact that it is sustainable is a real bonus in an industry where synthetics are the norm. I would love to save the world with these baggies, but I think Tesla is going to do that...
  13. Hi popcorn_skollie moisture and ventilation are not a problem with baggy. The hemp we have used is a medium canvas at 285 gram. It dries very quickly and the textile characteristic allows for airflow through the baggy, remembering we recommend wearing a bib like a Vermarcsport PRR under it. To be honest a synthetic baggy made with a "stretch fabric" will have more stretch. However, the hemp canvas, because of its nature and weave, has plenty of give and has been designed as a performance product. Bicyclegear.co.za has taken this direction with this product as hemp is a natural sustainable fibre alternative better suited for the conscious mountain biker. It is strong and if you fall it won't tear like a synthetic textile. It dries quickly and you can take it on a multi-day adventure and it won't smell being a natural product with anti-bacterial properties.
