  1. I can recommend Heart Analyzer, which I have been using to try debug why the Apple Watch Workout app breaks outdoor cycle sessions into multiple workouts, thereby robbing me of Vitality points. v3 was released earlier this week. The developer (www.simonedwardes.com) has been very helpful.
  2. Plausible but the heart beat sensor should be able to feed data to multiple apps since the Watch app on an iPhone allows this.
  3. Where do the Spruit Fairies and SwampDogs hang out online in case someone wants to pile in and help? There are a few sections between Witkoppen Rd and William Nicol Drive that need attention to make this a more pleasant ride.
  4. Does anyone else find that the Apple Watch Workout app stops recording inexplicably? Consequently, I am not missing out lots of Vitality points. I start Strava and the Workout app before an MTB ride, and Strava shows the full ride and heart rate data (from the watch sensor) for as long as the ride lasts (2-5 hours). But the damn Workout app either stops totally after a random period, or breaks a long ride into multiple workouts. I've tried everything the iStore, Apple forums & Discovery have suggested, and sent the watch for diagnostics, but no joy. The key to note is that the heart rate is *definitely* being recorded for the entire workout because I see it in Strava and the 3rd party HeartRate (from AppStore).
  5. R400 for a route that we largely ride for free every weekend? That's not sponsorship by Hollard - that is ridiculous.
  6. Any lateral force on your shock could damage it since it is designed for axial loading only - either a bent shaft, or damaged seals depending on the magnitude of the lateral force. Since you have a fancy bike, buy a decent tow-hitch mounted rack that support your bike under the wheels. I know a decent Thule costs a fortune but a decent rack will last a lifetime, and can support alloy & carbon bikes, road & MTB bikes, bikes with round and odd-shaped tubes. A rack that supports your bike underneath is much easier to load, and more secure on dirt/bumpy roads. There are cheapy bottom-support racks, like BuzzRack, which are not too bad, but Thule is a class of it's own. There's also a new Euro brand bsr but I can't recall the name - check the mags. Hope this helps.
  7. [/quote'] Johan - please will you post (or PM me) cost, venue, booking details of your workshop. I'm interested in air sleeve and fork sessions, if possible. Tx G
