Meaning what does Rush Sports have to do with Lyne Components?

  2. Unfortunately only reading this now, the pr*ck seems to have caught me with the half wheeler he advertised. I was a bit naive and had a suspicion but was hasty so took a risk and made a payment yesterday only to hear nothing more from him and no answering my call today, thought I’d give him a day or two before reporting but seeing this now, it confirms my suspicions. Stupid me, lesson learnt but luckily it wasn’t a massive amount.

All I can say is the wheel turns Anton or whatever your name is, and when it comes around I hope you get taught a proper lesson punk.

BTW I had another number for him 0606310807 so keep a lookout.

Thinking of how one would report this to the cops or if it’s even worth it.

On True Caller App his name is linked to the number he gave me which makes me think that it might just be real name, he also gave me STD Bank credentials, I wonder if he could be tracked through that somehow?

  3. ***Possible Scammer Alert***

Guy named Anton le Roux from Bothaville contacts me in connection with my add for Stages SRAM GXP Power Meter, he has two of them. Asked him for copy of ID before I do EFT which he refused to send and instead sent me his bank details so that I can get bank to verify them, asked him to take the power meters to someone I know in Bothaville to verify they legit and he has since disappeared, no more WA or answering phone. His details:  083 579 7707, email: antonleroux.sa@gmail.com

  4. I have purchased a bike from carbon29er.com and done many miles of riding on it including Epic, Attakwas, W2W, Sani2C and Garden Route 300. Very happy with the frame and my chosen spec and off course the price.

Only thing I think that can be improved would be to have through axle at the rear to stiffen up the rear triangle and I would choose Hope hubs over the Stan's 3.3's. They've given me some bearing issues, but that is no reflection on the frame or the build.

Thanks a lot for the feedback. That's one good looking bike. What is the handling and climbing like?

  5. Hi,

I know there is a topic about Chinese Carbon Frames, but people are more discussing road bikes and HT frames.

I am looking for information from people that have imported and built up 29er Dual Sus Carbon Chinese Frames, and if possible if anyone has done Trans Baviaans or Cape Epic on one of these frames. Where did you guys purchase and pics of your builds if you don't mind.

    Thanks

  6. Hi,

I'm looking at purchasing a 29er Dual Sus Frame from one of the suppliers. I don't see many in this thread, more HT builds. Has anyone built these up and what are your opinions on them?

I saw quite a few of them on the Trans Baviaans.

    Thanks

  7. Has anybody brought in carbon mtb wheels? What is the quality, rigidity and strength like. I would need 650b wheels

I have a set of Carbon 29er wheels with Agogo Hubs, best thing I ever bought. Easy to get tyres on and seal 100%, havent chiped or cracked and are very strong and rigid. I ride Tygerberg Trails almost daily with them and its a very rough rocky terrain and no issues so far.
