  1. Yeah Colbrelli has been quite good on the climbs. Still not sure I'd call him an out an out climber though.
  2. He's been good all tour so far. He's been like Hirschi was during last year's tour. He's got a good lead at the moment. Will be an interesting finale I reckon.
  3. Personally hoping for the sprint between Matthews and Colbrelli with Colbrelli sneaking it from Matthews.
  4. Anyone willing to make a prediction for the win given that the two breakaway groups have almost 7' on the peloton? Konrad whose just bridged across to the lead breakaway group is a potential winner. Riding strongly at the moment.
  5. I think that Martin might actually be happy if that's the case as his main aim coming into the TdF was stage wins and not GC. He'd rather be shipping time than gaining, which kinda makes JV's tactics today a bit weird. The Eurosport GCN crew seem to be under the impression that they don't think Vingegaard is a good GC contender.
  6. Wonderful win for Mollema. So happy to see Meintjes getting a top ten finish. It's been a good day's bike racing!
  7. Yay for Ashleigh!!!!! What a rider she is as well!!!!!
  8. The stage should be Mollema's provided he doesn't crash. Can't see the others catching him.
  9. Hopefully gaining some time and a place or two on GC today. ????
  10. G Martin has jumped up to second in the virtual GC. Going to be interesting to see if EF and JV come and assist UAE to keep their riders on the podium for the time being.
  11. Mollema getting a decent lead now. 1'09" for him on the chase group. They got to get organised if any of them are eyeing the win.
  12. Mollema trying a long range attack. Good enough climber to stay away and good enough descender to get a win out of today. But as Rob Hatch and Sean Kelly has mentioned it might be because the group is a rather strong one with both climbing and descending, in general, and that he feels he needs a gap in order to best them.
  13. Woods crashed. Got to chase back on. However seems to be okay though. Only 15 seconds behind. Reckon he'll catch the other leaders on the climb.
  14. Has worked to a degree as he is now the virtual KOM at the moment. One climb left today and Poels is looking good. Hopefully we'll see a good battle between them not only for the KOM points but the stage win as well. Would be happpy if either one them wins today.
  15. With about 60k to go. Right nasty one too. Lloydy reckons it was due to gravel on the side of the road and the full gas racing due to PhilGil's short lived attack.
  16. Worth every cent that DQS pays him. That guy has helped so many others get famous wins. Morkov is truly a super domestique!
  17. I'm sure Mark Renshaw will have a detailed analysis of it as soon as he can on his Instagram/social media. My word he's a genius as the GCN commentators keep saying!
  18. What a Win by Cav!!!!!!!! DQS positioned him so well and he finished it off!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Equal with Merckx!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Clearly. Maybe he'll have to share it with Latour! ????????????????????????
  20. Pacher has gone up the road for BB Hotels.
  21. True. I suspect that Latour will get it simply because he happens to be Frenchie on a French team.
  22. Quite a few guys with bad looking cuts and abrasions. Declerq and a Total Energies rider in particular with blood on their fore arms! Nasty crash for sure!
  23. Combativity Award according to Bradley Wiggens.
  24. That was a very interesting read. Personally I fall more towards that physiology has caught up thanks to everything we've learnt over the past decade or so wrt food and diet and rest and recovery along with all the technological advances. Things that John Wakefield has mentioned as well as a few others. Still an interesting read given the discussion that's been had over the last few pages of this thread.
  25. The GCN commentators just had a period discussing Marianne Vos especially since she won her 30th stage victory at the Giro D'Italia Donne yesterday. And essentially they agreed as to her GOAT status within cycling at large not just within the ladies peloton. Her palmares certainly stacks up well against any legendary cyclist, male or female.
