  1. Has a very good record in the classics does Nils, got second in PR losing out to PhilGil and several top 5 finishes at RVV. Also the Gorilla spoke pretty glowingly about him as well and kinda helped him out with some advice today to go along with the training rides they do together. Just seems a popular winner, doesn't he. Also was nice to see Sweeny congratulate him just after he finished. Another guy to keep a eye on as he put in a good performance today.
  2. Maybe in the current pro peloton. I reckon only Declerq's might match it but I wouldn't be surprised if GCN's Connor Dunne has a marginally taller seat post.
  3. A wonderful and deserved win for Nils! He has been knocking on the door of getting a big win for a while now and finally he gets one! I'm sure he will add some more to his palmares. And a nice little boost to Bora's morale that took a big hit with Sagz having to abandon this morning.
  4. Apparently Nils wants the win. Which would be lekker, such a good rider and as Rob Hatch mentioned would also save Bora's TdF a wee bit.
  5. Ah gotcha.
  6. So you saying it was a bit of smoke and mirrors to see who of the other contenders have a little bit of ambition left? Or am I on the wrong track with your comment?
  7. Not so much cracked as a very very rare moment of weakness from Pogacar. Or at least that is how I'm seeing it.
  8. I think everyone's hoping that it means that it won't be a procession to Paris with Pogacar leading the way. That said Pogacar is still the outright favourite for the win.
  9. I reckon Teuns will hold them off but it'll be tight. Pogacar has yellow all sowed up and that everybody else is now riding for second ito GC. Edit: Spelling of Teuns' surname.
  10. Wrong bike brand Dips. I just can't remember which one has the e-bike that looks exactly the same as their road bike.
  11. I like how he gets to go through his professional cycling career following the beat of his own drum and that EF Education Nippo is more than happy to help him. Also raising funds for World Bicycle Relief at the same time.
  12. Isn't this why we watch live sport? The amazing stories that comes out it at various points. This is a lot like stage 20 last year. This will be one of those moments that'll stick in your memory for a very very long time!
  13. Just too bloody good for everybody today! No doubt super motivated to honour his Grandad's memory. Super fantastic. So glad I got to see this!
  14. A courageous roll of the dice perhaps!
  15. And all together now!
  16. And Eddy living up to his nickname and going on a looney solo move!
  17. That you did. What seems interesting was the interaction between the friendlies aka Pog and Rog, marking each other to the point of not working together. However both looked comfy and in good shape.
  18. Watching the breakaway and they were showing JA's winning move and it looked like MVDP got boxed in at that moment. No wonder MVDP couldn't make up the gap! Shows you how important positioning is!
  19. Froome showing nothing but heart and courage and finishes the stage! Hoping he can carry on tomorrow, although very unlikely!
  20. JA takes out the win and the first Yellow. And it looked like MVDP wanted to congratulate him on it. Such classy riders!
  21. MVDP is chasing JA! Last K!
  22. Here we go final climb to sort out the first yellow jersey!
  23. Giant crash! I don't think any major favourites involved but Froome looks to be in bad shape!
  24. So all your fault then? ????????????????????????
  25. The hardest working domestique in the peloton, I reckon. Always seems to spend hours and hours on the front. What a huge engine he has!
