  1. I had the same problem initially with my ghetto setuup using wtb tyres. It would lose air within half a day.I kept on shaking it around and pumping,it held air well from the second day of doing this. With my maxxis i had no issues. Both were non UST
  2. Between the two, which one is the better one to go for?Apart from weight ,does the platform on the candy make a difference?Did anoyone ride both and have any feedback?thanks
  3. At that price range look at the RAVX TX3 or Tx4, or the giant ,cant remember the model but both are decent. .
  4. I would also vouch for ghetto, one of the best things i could have done with my mtb.Using stans in one wheel and a mix in the other.Just remember to carry a tubeless repair kit,in case you get a larger than usual hole.
  5. Bontrager makes it as well, you sit on this gel chair gadget that measures your size..Its a good way to check
  6. You get quite a few makes out there,if u dont want to spend too much, look at ravx and giant , you should be looking between 1000 to 1600 for one of those, tackx is a bit pricier but excellent quality. Most in that price range use magmetic resistance. You get the ones with the gel roller, this is preferable over the steel roller as it doesnt heat up as much and melt your tyre. I just swap my tyre with an old one, when i occasionaly use mine. However do you intend using it after your thumb recovers? Speedy recovery ..
  7. They do help quite a bit with puncture protection,i had them in for a while, couldnt tell the difference in handling or feel before and after i put them in.I went tubeless after that.
  8. The bontrager rimstrip is a plastic one,and a once of way of making it tubeless, just add ur valve and sealant and away you go.It may not be true ust,but whats the real advantage of ust over this system?Dont easton make 29er wheelsets?
  9. Im not putting words in your mouth..Its a question that i asked, hence the question mark.So basically the fork does change feeling after some mileage, which cant be explained properly yet,and its important to service it regularly. Bushmaster2010-01-02 15:55:47
  10. So the extra plushness after a month of riding is due to the oil being splashed around?
  11. They start at around R150 each, brand depending.I dont know if there are cheaper ones out there

    Bar ends

Kcnc must be the lightest set out there at 49 grams a set(3grams more than claimed, not that it makes a difference!).They look good to.. Bushmaster2009-12-31 09:48:43
  13. Thanks, will do that recomendation, currently its set at 10% sag with both the chambers at the same pressure.I will play with settings after i put more kilos on
  14. U not limited to shimanos centre lock rotor, you get an adapter that fits ,and then you use any 6 bolt rotor of your choice.Do you have a bike with intergrated brake/shift levers?and are you converting from v brake to disks? If so then do price the brakes as a kit, from avid, shimano, magura etc. Then draw comparisons and choose
  15. Is sag at 25% fine?and when doing sag, what must the negative chamber be pumped at?the same as positive? Its a reba Sl
