  1. Its produced by TheBabyFood Co. That said...its not baby food (i know....i was the one that did the process validation on it before it can be released to market).
  2. Ok......so now i know what a pitbull terrier attached to your arm feels like !!! backtrack to monday....and the neighbours foxterrier charges out of his yard...and goes for one of my dogs while they're playing in the front yard....i had to pull my 3 off him with great difficulty (they were playing ragdoll with him)...and i was at one point thinking "dead dog".......pulling 3 dogs off another dog by yourself (while the other dogs owner stands and watches is not fun)....anyway.....only a few scrapes on the foxie...that was it Fastforward to tuesday....my 3 are still very worked up about the previous days fight..... I sat in kitchen eating some biltong with the 3 around me....the black one (spencer)...was having none of it and probably worried about sharing....goes for the staffie.....Mila..the female goes for spencer (very protective of the staffie...hes "her" property) It got ugly when the was no growling...just quiet...with 3 dogs locked to each other......got the staffie off first (hes obedient and listens...but the bugger kept coming back for another bite...worked up by the whole incident). Then got Mila off.....picked spencer up and started carrying him out..with the other 2 snapping and biting around my legs. Was here that the female bit him while i was carrying and made him really angry.. he clamped onto my arm......Hes only 8months old...but the jaw pressure was huge...felt it bigtime.....shouted at him and he let go. Had him outside....in process of closing door the female bites again...and he automatically clamped onto me again. Finally had him on his own...and he let go. thoroughly the moer in (my dogs dont fight...and i make a habit of making sure they dont)...i ended up chasing them around for a while to properly discipline them......one handed of course.
  3. Was a bit hectic the first 2 days....the female (rednose) is the dominant dog....and she was not too happy .....but they're sorted now. She still puts him in his place quite quickly, but its more a show of teeth and some growling...then its over. First night she pinned him to the ground and wouldnt get off...had to lift her off him and put her outside. Strangely enough...he gets on with the staffie the best (another male)...and will go sleep next to him readily enough VERY clever pup....tell him something once or twice...and he absolutely wont do it again (was heading for other dogs bowls at feeding time, and snapped when taking treats)...tapped him on nose and told him no......hasnt done it again yet. Will even go to his bed when you tell him....
  4. The new guy..... Hey hooman....where iz food? Picking on the new guy
  5. cricket balls.....hockey balls....golf balls.......hahahahhaha....they dont last very long where a staffie/pitbull are concerned. Ive watched that one of mine...she'll chew/nibble at it and once she gets a spot where she can dig her teeth in....then its about 5 minutes and theres only bits of it left. I found her chewing a brick already!!! My staffie....sticks and tennis balls and bits of ball left over from the other shark (he's old now...so not up for it anymore)
  6. "Cat detected".....protection mode ON
  7. this is comfortable...and its mine now You lock me up again...you're going to start running out of beanbags and blankets

    Garmin Edge 1000

Im considering getting a edge 1000 from overseas......there are a couple of UK cycle shops that will ship a garmin to SA (checked with them already)...and bought from them before.....works out to about 6.5k (shipping is free)...then obviously duties to be paid

    Cadence sensor

looks like its similar to the one on the trek frames left magnet should be spoke magnet for speed....right one should be crank for cadence spoke magnet lines up in center of "aerial" thingy (right side of sensor) cadence one lines up with the "RS" writing on sensor
  10. My staffie LOATHES water....and by extension the sea. He loves the sand and the running around though. The pitbull.....well she's just plain hyper and anything excites her Staffie fell into the pool when he was a pup....so i sort of understand it. Picture this.......i let pup out the evening, and he runs to other side of pool (where the grass is).....and i give him a bit of time then call him to come in.....He turns around without thinking and runs for the shortest route for the door, unfortunately there happens to be a swimming pool in the way...and he goes straight in and straight to the bottom. I had to jump in, in the middle of winter (10 at night) to fish him out. To this day (hes now 8)....he runs away whenever we're in the pool....hates getting a bath.....even hates the rain.
  11. i felt sorry for all the guys on deep sections......saw some scary moments with a few of them fortunately i train and race on mine.....so i have a good idea how the bike reacts and just when to brace/lean etc some of the guys i saw were struggling......there was a guy with a spez venge with 80mm wheels on!!!! (going VERY slowly and carefully)
  12. this is the one that nearly took me out........slowed down just in front of it and someone went into the back of me.....luckily stayed upright though....took some effort to catch the leaders again. Those rollers broke the bunch up bigtime, think there were only about 10 left at the turn into helshoogte again
  13. happened in the big B group too........had the marshall having quite a few words with the guys ober the line (almost constantly).......i heard final warnings being given at one point
  14. I actually think the wind turned a bit at one point....could be my imagination (just didnt seem to have that much wind on the R44 back)......that said, the bunch from B that i was riding in was big (probably around 30-40 or so ).....although that pretty much fragmented on the rollers back to stellenbosh......in the end there were about 10 of us left (including the bunches we reeled in on the way back)
