looks like all these lights are manufactured by the same supplier. however they probably get sold on with different batteries. at that price get one ... you will not be disappointed and will received excellent value for money.

the ultegra Di2 is something new to me ... probably only small saving in weight. i have contacted them before via mail and pm but never received a reply. will try again to get some info on the 2012 frames. i will post information here should i receive any info.

That is possible on the 2012 frames since the tcr advanced now has an alu steerer I believe as previously commented. I think on the 2011 frame the difference is way less, unless they give the weight without the seatpost which is likely.

jip seems like most agents can get the bike but the frame only arrive later, wonder why? something else .... looks like the advanced tcr will be available with electronic ultegra, did not even know it existed.

very keen on the 2012 frames and might consider new but still waiting to arrive in SA and then the million dollar question ..... cost ? anyone with inside info?

Thanks guys, The difference on a 2nd hand frame will not be R10k but probably be closer to R5k which could swing the scale ….. should one therefore consider the SL more …..?

I'm in the market and shopping for a frame. I have sort of made up my mind on the 2011 giant tcr advanced but now I'm thinking ..... Maybe I should stretch the wallet and go for the 2011 SL. I know there is a material difference and also the SL has the ISP ... what else and is it worth to pay the extra moola ....?

I was under the impression that I will be able to use my existing cranks with the press fit BB ….?

Thinking of building parts over to a new road frame, Giant TCR Advanced. I have discovered that the new frame takes a press fit BB and also comes without a headset. I have ultergra 6700 groupset and would like to know what press fit BB will suite the frame best since I have no experience on this. Also what will be a decent head set ...... and what should I roughly pay for these items. Looking for fairly decent items but not over the top since I have ultegra and not dura-ace ... Thanks

so ... after some time of riding i have decided to get myself some swiss stop pads for the mtb after tying out many brands including XTR. i have to say these pads are AWESOME after a ride in the mountain. i'm a heavy rider and have always struggled with braking perfomance until now. crc had a special and were selling these for R175 a set .... what a bargain.

Many of you hubbers have two sets of wheels for the road, training set and racing set. So ..... What tyres do you ride on your training set and why ...? What tyres do you ride on your racing set and way ...? I have to replace tyres and your knowledge will help, both sets are clincher.

nope i got pointed in the wrong direction about 3km from the finish ....when i reached a section we did earlier the day i got worried. i did see some guys early in the race going in the wrong direction but i followed other riders that knew the route. wish i had them with me towards the finish ......

thanks to a marshal i did an extra 7km on the 32km route. not happy about it since i was trying to do a "good" time.

Hi Guys, Why dont WE do something about it and get involded as suggested in a previous post. We can all complain, that is easy ..... why dont we get up and tackle the problem.......? The CoCT made moola available to built the infrastructure and to create a safer environment for our families, so why dont we invest some time till the new landscaping settle.

jip no problems with my 800cx and sure is a leka toy. using it on both bikes and never had issues with interference from other users in big events.

im ride a cheap no name - frame, seatpost, handle bar and fork set me back about R3800 and all in black carbon. riding since december 2009 and going like a bullet train...........

naaais :-) is that the seat post you got with the package deal?

hi guys thanks for the help. sounds like i have a little project for the weekend. which leads me to the next question, what "make/brand" works the best and is the easiest to install. sounds like i have to go for stans? any other makes/brands any good? will do my homework and see where i can get a good deal in cape town.
