  1. Has anyone tried the Buzz Rack Beetle bike carrier? Sportsmanswarehouse sell these at R1300. It can hold 3 bikes. Should I rather go for the Thule968 Freeway. It's R700 more. Does the brand name justify the price?
  2. ha ha ha...I'd love to!
  3. I'm looking for a group as close to Krugersdorp as possible to do a long distance ride with on Sundays. 150km or more. 26-29kmph. Any suggestions?
  4. I messed op a 30 by 10 cm area on my frame-area below the bottle cage. I want to get that area resprayed without it looking like it's been resprayed. What would you suggest? Dent Doctor maybe?
  5. Hey everyone, I'm fairly new to cycling, so this will be my first winter cycling experience. Any suggestions on keeping warm? What to buy? What not to buy?
  6. This is what I was looking for: ((((Time / Winner) – 1) / Beta) x 100) + Penalty Where [Time] is your time for the event, [Winner] is the time of the winner (sometimes adjusted) [beta] is a number that indicates the difficulty of the conditions where more than 1 means windy or hilly and less means flat or calm [Penalty] is a number that gets added to the index usually for the time that has passed since the event (more than 5 months old) [Weighting] is the percentage of your total index made up by that particular ride
  7. Someone posted these questions a couple of days ago. Here is an answer from manangement: Frame crack or break ascribed to manufacturer - no cover. So only a warranty claim with manufacturer? The policy covers accidental damages and any damage due to a manufacturers fault will not be covered and must be claimed against the manufacturers warranty. Unattended bike - cover only if locked to immovable object, vehicle or trailer with approved locks and cable or locked inside a vehicle or trailer and entry or removal is violent and forcible. So no cover if bike is not locked to immovable object at home, even if home was violently and forcibly entered? The bicycle do not have to be locked to an immoveable object at home, theft from your residence must be accompanied by forcible entry or threat of violence against you, Also, what if you're going away for a weekend, and you leave your bike on the trailer correctly locked but not technically in transit? Do you need to take your bike off the trailer and lock it to an immovable object at the guest house, hotel, camp site you're staying at? The bicycle will be covered against theft if it was securely locked to your trailer. What if the removal of a bike compliantly locked wasn't violent but only forceful? The theft will be covered whether taken violently or forcefully Bike in transit - cover only if attached to vehicle or trailer with approved locks and cable or locked inside a vehicle or trailer and further that the bike carrier is securely bolted or locked by an approved lock, and that the theft, loss, removal or damage was violent and forcible.Theft or damage whilst in transit is covered What about bikes in transit in boxes on commercial airlines? The bicycle will be covered against theft or damage from the moment you hand the bicycle in the airline’s care until such time that you take into your care again What about bikes in transit to stage race events in trucks owned and operated by third parties, who don't lock the trailer and/or the bike is stolen or damaged during loading, offloading or storage? The third party has to take proper care against theft while in their possession, if not they can be held responsible. Damage during on or offloading will be covered . Also, am I not covered if the bike was not correctly locked to the carrier? That is correct
  8. So, looking at it another way...I'm in the top 30%? Thanks! Your explanation clear it up for me
  9. My seeding index is 26.63 on the ASG wesite. What does that mean?
  10. I'm doing it again for sure!
  11. I'm considering joining Club 100 (Sandton branch). Can anyone tell me more about this club? It's advantages/disadvantages? The culture? The routes? The support? The possible opportunities of joining a racing team?
  12. So, this guy is selling. What you think? https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/85332-tacx-cycletrack-indoor-trainer/
  13. Hey Experts, If you have any tips on buying an indoor trainer, please feel free to share them with me. Regards, Danielle

  15. I bought a second hand bike. The frame size is a 55cm, I'm a 54cm. But that seems fine. The reach is definitely too far. I moved my saddle forward, but the handlebar is still too far (did the hub test, I see it at the back of the handlebars not the front), so I want to buy a new stem. The Specialised bike shop wants to charge me R500 for setup. This excludes any parts they might add or change. 1. What is a decent price and make? 2. Should I rather do a proper setup? 3. What should I pay for a setup?
