  1. Hey guys, I am going to do the DC with my team who all arrive in Cape Town earlier that Friday morning(23 Nov). I was hoping someone out there has a later flight like me and could help me out with a lift to Swellendam? 23 Nov 17:00 Cape Town.
  2. When does this start and how do I do it?
  3. It's not just about winning. It's about possibly cheating the seeding system. That's just not fair. And even if it's not intentional, there should be an accurate way to track the times. That's what Racetec promises to deliver and that's what we'll help them do
  4. Here is the response from Racetec: I trust my email finds you well! Please advise the course of action that you would like us to pursue, I have noticed a common trend with the exception of Gerda, all of the cyclist have done their fastest times at the Value Logistics fast one. The possibility exists that they started in the long route and dropped down to the shorter distance. Kind regards,
  5. Look at the other examples. Flats in every race except one?
  6. I've sent these results to Racetec for further investigation. I'll let you know what the outcome is
  7. I'm not accusing, just wondering. But, I do agree. Let me remove the names. There we go. All anonymous
  8. I was looking at road events and times on Racetec and found a few suspicious entries. I find it a little strange that some of these girls can ride one race like an amateur and the next like a pro. Have a look at these screen shots: Am I missing something?
  9. Specialized Allez Comp - Black and White (few scratches on the frame) Carbon seat post, handlebar and rear Fizzik saddle Ksyrium racing wheel set Dura Ace shifters Ultegra brakes and casette 55cm Don't have a picture with me at the moment but the frame looks like the picture I downloaded
  10. All substitution can now be done at Race Number Collection. A substitution is R 100 The new person will need to bring along the old person’s barcode and collect the race pack. Once collected, they will need to go to Queries and make the change over there. The new person will be seeded according to their index. A substitution is taking over someone’s entry and not race number or index. If the substitution is not done at Race Number Collection, and the new person rides under the old person’s race number, the new person will be disqualified.
  11. Cool thanks. Looks like it's still possible.
  12. I have an entry if someone wants to buy it. I'm injured.
  13. I was in an accident this weekend and I am no longer able to do the 94.7. Is it still possible to sell my entry?
  14. I have one for sale that has to be substituted today if someone is interested. 0761916551.
  15. I have an entry if someones looking to buy one. 0761916551.
  16. I have a 94.7 entry for sale. Today is the final day for subs. Contact me on 0761916551.
  17. Has anyone tried the Buzz Rack Beetle bike carrier? Sportsmanswarehouse sell these at R1300. It can hold 3 bikes. Should I rather go for the Thule968 Freeway. It's R700 more. Does the brand name justify the price?
  18. I'm looking for a group as close to Krugersdorp as possible to do a long distance ride with on Sundays. 150km or more. 26-29kmph. Any suggestions?
  19. I messed op a 30 by 10 cm area on my frame-area below the bottle cage. I want to get that area resprayed without it looking like it's been resprayed. What would you suggest? Dent Doctor maybe?
  20. Hey everyone, I'm fairly new to cycling, so this will be my first winter cycling experience. Any suggestions on keeping warm? What to buy? What not to buy?
  21. This is what I was looking for: ((((Time / Winner) – 1) / Beta) x 100) + Penalty Where [Time] is your time for the event, [Winner] is the time of the winner (sometimes adjusted) [beta] is a number that indicates the difficulty of the conditions where more than 1 means windy or hilly and less means flat or calm [Penalty] is a number that gets added to the index usually for the time that has passed since the event (more than 5 months old) [Weighting] is the percentage of your total index made up by that particular ride
  22. Answers from management Frame crack or break ascribed to manufacturer - no cover. So only a warranty claim with manufacturer? The policy covers accidental damages and any damage due to a manufacturers fault will not be covered and must be claimed against the manufacturers warranty. Unattended bike - cover only if locked to immovable object, vehicle or trailer with approved locks and cable or locked inside a vehicle or trailer and entry or removal is violent and forcible. So no cover if bike is not locked to immovable object at home, even if home was violently and forcibly entered? The bicycle do not have to be locked to an immoveable object at home, theft from your residence must be accompanied by forcible entry or threat of violence against you, Also, what if you're going away for a weekend, and you leave your bike on the trailer correctly locked but not technically in transit? Do you need to take your bike off the trailer and lock it to an immovable object at the guest house, hotel, camp site you're staying at? The bicycle will be covered against theft if it was securely locked to your trailer. What if the removal of a bike compliantly locked wasn't violent but only forceful? The theft will be covered whether taken violently or forcefully Bike in transit - cover only if attached to vehicle or trailer with approved locks and cable or locked inside a vehicle or trailer and further that the bike carrier is securely bolted or locked by an approved lock, and that the theft, loss, removal or damage was violent and forcible.Theft or damage whilst in transit is covered What about bikes in transit in boxes on commercial airlines? The bicycle will be covered against theft or damage from the moment you hand the bicycle in the airline’s care until such time that you take into your care again What about bikes in transit to stage race events in trucks owned and operated by third parties, who don't lock the trailer and/or the bike is stolen or damaged during loading, offloading or storage? The third party has to take proper care against theft while in their possession, if not they can be held responsible. Damage during on or offloading will be covered . Also, am I not covered if the bike was not correctly locked to the carrier? That is correct
