  1. Great to hear all is well...under circumstances.
  2. Its great fun until you have had a fall like that...
  3. No...Ek bedoel nee. I have French blood so....Dutchman doesn't bother me at all. Op die ou einde van die dag is dit juis wat ons almal proudly south African maak.
  4. I ride the Titan 2014 model 650b carbon and its an awesome bike.Dont care what other okes say or think of it.Lekke!!!
  5. Buy him a beer!!!!!Well done!!Its people like single track that makes this world a lekke plek!!!
  6. Damn that sucks.Broke my right coller bone last month when I took a fall at meerendal. So I'm a bit cautious now.The doc will obviously not agree with me wanting to do the race so soon but I cant sit around anymore. Maybe i'll just employ a buddy to stay with me in case something happens...
  7. I'll walk down that section if I am in doubt...
  8. I don't like road racing anyway!!Nice good short answer...ha ha. maybe i'll just enter and go for it...(famous last words)
  9. Hi Guys Had surgery more than a month ago on my shoulder(coller bone) Can someone please tell me what the terrain looks like. Are there heavy downhill sections or is it mostly flat gravel road?I would like to enter the race but I am a bit cautious of the type of terrain. Will I be able to do the race?did about 60km this past weekend on gravel and there was no pain or any shock on my shoulder..Any advice will help Thanks
  10. So had surgery done about two weeks ago.Feeling great. Just Damn frustrating, not being able to get on the bike!!!!
  11. Hi Guys, I Just want to thank shaun Peters as well as Bronwyn who works at Meerendal for helping me After my big fall out on the Burry Stander section yesterday. We ride Meerendal Often and it wasnt a case of not knowing the trail or not having the skill to ride it. Had a dip and the bike jackknifed and i went over the handle bars still clipped in.Took a fall straight onto my shoulder and my head.Cracked helmet and broken coller bone. Thanks guys for fetching me on the trail. Also a Big Thanks to CRAIG PEPPER!!!!!He stopped immediately and took my spare tube and made a sling and secured my arm in position. He cut his ride short to help a fellow mountain biker in need and allot of pain and i think he should be commended for that.If anyone can give me a contact number for him i would like to thank him in person. Status report: Broken collerbone with a possible surgery on the way... and off the bike for at least 6 weeks...As shaun also mentioned, be safe out there. Thank you
